Is there a limit on EX cards for sanctioned events?

So there's a tournament coming up in a few days that I would like to play in, but I'm a little sketchy about it because there's so many freaking EX cards in the game. The type of tourny is modified I believe and I only have one EX card in my rl deck. I know there's only 4 copies of a single card allowed in tournies but is there any special rules regarding use of EX cards in it?

Nope. There's no special ruling on EXs. You can play as many as you want in a deck (of course no more than 4 of the same card).

 

Just an extra bit of information - one ruling about the EX cards is that they don't count as what Pokémon they are.

 

E.g. You can have 4 Zekrom AND 4 Zekom EX in the same deck.

yeah, with "normal pokemons" you will get wrecked, just like here in expert mode.
