trainer kits

just wondering what those trainer kits are? If i click on filters i see trainer kit zoroark and excadrill. Each kit contains 30 cards. But there are 8 energies in it but they are exactly the same to me but a different number. Solets say you want to collect all cards in this game, do you need the 8 energies and make sure they all have a different number or how does it work?
