Zekeel Deck runs rampant...

I've sat down for a session of PokeTCGo today and have faced Zekeel decks 4/5 times, most adding in Mewtwo.

 

I just find it sad that so many people can't enjoy the metagame that is deck building and instead need to follow the herd - anyone can build directly from a decklist and it shows not only a lack of imagination but your opponents will become few and far between.

 

My deck fairs quite well against Zekeel, but now it's got to the point where I have built a deck purely as a counter-Zekeel. That's how prolific that deck is becoming.

 

I'm just here having a rant, I'd much prefer to be facing people who click on "Expert" with only a theme deck then face yet another Zekeel, not because I'd likely trounce them, but because at least I can't predict what is going to happen next.

 

Decklist builders are always going to be around because the metagames are ever present. I have plenty of admiration for those that first envisage these decks, but those that just outright mimic them and have no originality to their builds just purely frustrate me.

 

My how I miss the days of playing Base/Jungle/Fossil...

 

 

 

TL;DR

 

Sick of the repetitiveness of Zekeel deck users, would prefer to face anything but for the sake of unpredictability and enjoyment of the game.

I don't think you should get mad over it, as it was a deck ran by a lot of people before V2, therefore a lot of people are playing it since they can't trade to get cards for a new deck i try running other decks, but my decklist isnt complete which makes the game a bit boring without consistency
