Super Awesome Rayquaza Deck!

Monsters: 4/5

4x Rayquaza EX (and 1 rayquaza not EX if your oponent has sigilyph)

T/S/S: 4

4x Max Potion (take out 1 of these if they have sigilyph)

Energy: 52

4x Prism Energy

24x Fire Energy

24x Lightning Energy

Basically you use Celestial Roar and nearly always get 5 nrg on a Quaza bu T2 (2 turns of manual attatch, 3 from Celestial Roar) then use Dragon Burst or w/v the other attack is to do loads of damage on T2. You can do up to 240 damage on a single turn! Take that, smelly Darkrai EX! Then you max potion to heal everything off since you have all the energy you need in hand anyway it doesn't make a difference when you're going to Celestial Roar anyway.

I have eerything for this deck apart from the Quazas and the mx potions if anyone wants to test this deck for me pls let me know how it goes :)

That may actually not be all that bad, Rayquaza EX requiers what 2 energy. Assuming you can get them out quick and they don't end up in your prize cards this could see some good results. I would be interested in hearinf how well it plays after you have done several matches.

You always have at least one, since you shuffle your hand out at the beginning until you get one.

LOL you just stole this deck from Michael Pramawat. Only difference is that instead of the 4 max potions he uses 4 ultra balls.

I had no idea pram made this kinda deck. I must be a geenius or something!

For fun play, your deck will work. Otherwise against competitive battlers it might be hell for you. I suggest taking out a lot of energy, and just keep 12 Lightning Energy. 6 Fire Energy as well, to complement Rayquaza EX's need for it. Add 3 Tynamo and 3 Eelektrik from Noble Victories to bolster your deck's consistency. This should be accompanied by a Skyarrow Bridge Stadium, to reduce Rayquaza's retreat cost to zero. Run at least 3 SABs to ensure you'll get one out early. I recommend removing Max Potion, as Rayquaza EX dislikes discarding its Fire Energy. After all, a free retreat means a trip to the bench, where Rayquaza EX can retrieve its lost Lightning Energies. The rest, just include some Supporters and Items, like the current N/Cheren/Bianca/Juniper combo, and some Pokemon Catchers, Crushing Hammers etc. and you're ready to go!

By the way, this means you discard just Lightning Energy, go back to the bench for free, allow Eelektrik to recover the Energy back to him and return to attack again! This is a simple rinse and repeat idea, and I hope it helps. Just wondering, have you thought of Rayquaza-EX/Eelektrik before? This is it.

This would be the RayEels deck which is completely different from what imobvmafia suggested. Anyway, I tested out the deck that imobvmafia suggested, and it was quite fun. Here are my 2cents on this deck.

The pros: 1) A fast and straight forward deck. No complicated stategies involved. 2) Celestial Roar on T1, then Dragon Burst on T2 and T3 discarding different type of energy. For the most part, I was able to KO 2 of my opponents pokemon, including EXs, by the end of T3. Doing 180 damage by discarding 3 energies each turn is just enough to KO EXs. By this time, some of my opponents will have just conceded the game.

The cons: 1) This deck relies on its speed to OHKO opponents pokemon to get a solid prize lead by the end of T3, thus disrupting their setup. However in some cases where the opponent has a eviolited EX active, discarding a fourth energy is needed to OHKO it. Unless I get a lucky Celestial Roar, I find it difficult to get a fourth energy of the same kind up. 2) By T4, my active Rayquaza EX would be out of energies, I could manual attach energy and attack for 60, or go for another Celestial Roar. If my opponent manages to setup some Darkrai/Garchomp/Mewtwo on the bench, I would not have enough time to charge up my Ray EXs before they get KOed, I wouldn't be able to get a prize from here on out. 3) Opponent with sigilyph, nuff said.

Btw, I changed the 4 max potions to ultra balls. As useful as max potions is, I would not want my active RayEX to be KOed and have no other pokemon on the bench. Adding in too many items is also not a good idea as it will increase the chance of Celestial Roar not hitting energies. I've had games where I only got off with 1 energy from Celestial Roar. Also, I manage to get 4 Rayquaza EXs but whiffed on the normal Rayquaza, so an opponent sigilyph is an autoloss for me.

tl;dr: This is a fun deck to play with. Definately a unique deck building compared to other decks. It is crucial for this deck to get enought KOs from the beginning and disrupt your opponent's setup, otherwise Rayquaza EX will be KOed by heavy-hitters before it can get back its energies to attack.

I would like to run Pokemon Catcher in this deck tbh. I mean sure u can 1 hit all Pokemon but I would rather use 3 energy to OHKO and EX for 2 Pr, than use 3 energy to OHKO a Terrakion for 1 Pr sometimes for example.

I did run a couple of games with catchers, it did help me win a few games. However, i find it difficult to hit what i want when i want it, since there is no draw supporters in this deck.

Pretty sure anyone can think of this? People did it at prereleases...

It's not hard to go QuadQuaza and Celestial Roar everything and throw in some techs (e.g Max Potion).
