Oh no! Darkrai-Hydreigon (about complainers)

So i played against this guy.

 

He opened groudon and i opened Darkrai. He started complaining: "Oh not Darkrai - Hydreigon" "It is so boring"

 

"i bet you didn't change anything from the japanese champion's decklist".

 

So i explained my list was quite different, but he says " still is a staple, change a few cards means nothing" then blathered something about Virizion and scooped.

 

I just wanted to explain to this guy and all complainers out there, that good cards are meant to be played and decks to built around them.

 

What are people supposed to do? Scrap every good card as soon as a good deck is built with them? LOL

 

If you scoop, it's fine, i get a win that i would get anyway if we played the match and i also save some time rather than having to deal with some subpar deck.

 

If you want to play rogue, it's cool, but learn to deal with metadecks because they will be 90% of the field.

 

Otherwise, please just select NOVICE games and have fun beating theme decks all day long.

I run an Eelektrik-Durant deck, but I swapped most of the other cards for a HG/SS Raichu line

 

People complain all the time about "Oh you're so unorignal" even though I kept Eelektrik and Durant and cut out everything else.

 

 

 

At least your not one of those guys who runs a Six Corners deck with EXs

 

6 EX cards, a ton of rainbow and double colorless energies

 

It works because the best EXs can be worked into any deck (Mewtwo, Regigigas, Tornadus)

 

But its annoying as hell to see someone play with only EX cards and not actual strategy

I would never have a deck that is full of EX cards. The only EX I have right now is Mewtwo. I use the other pokemon in my deck to work with a strategy. I don't have a master deck built yet, mostly because I have a Mac and I can't download the game and play it yet , but I am working on making one.

Having EX pokemons doesn't make you play expert mode, if that's the requirement for a good and successful deck or expert play then the tcg is broken. Ofcourse it's annoying when someone opens with an EX/legendary pokemon, it just makes the play much more uninteresing, with not much room for strategy or innovative play.

I disagree. Some bad EXs can be used by people that are pretty interesting. Only a small portion of the EXs are good.

I am not necessarily saying that all EXs are bad, I am saying that sometimes people overbuild their decks with legendaries and EXs.

false. It requires more skill and strategy to play with and against competitive decks rather than play exciting games of flareon vs flaffy
