Online mode?

I came back to playing this game after a long time and see they made a launcher for it now and I see you are forced to play the AI. Is the online mode unlocked after beating the all the AI or is the multiplayer not available yet?

Mulitplayer is coming back after the summer. As for the having to finish it, I'm not sure.
