Well for the tv series i would take out harrison and tyson from the hoenn region pretty quick. I would also eliminate Trip because he wasnt as brutal as paul to his pokemon but he was just a little rude or somethin. Then that leaves paul and gary . Gary never was truly mean to his pokemon like paul was though so i think paul was the best rival of the tv series .

I would definately have to say the best rival from the games was Red in Gold and Silver. The guy was just sitting in Mt. Silver with a team of Pokémon over level 70! Truly the ultimate game rival!

I would say Red in Gold, Silver, and Crystal is the best Rival. In gaming history, for tv show, I would have to say Gary was the best because I dislike people who abuse pokemon

I personally like Paul mainly because of that one full battle he and Ash did where Paul practically destroyed Ash around the time I didn't like Ash, or DP for that matter, (still kinda don't) and that battle just made me smile. Although I like Gary a lot mainly because he makes me want Ash to win becuase he's such a jerk.

Honestly, I liked Silver....

 

 

 

But in terms of "omg this rival is going to whoop my butt"....Red...hands down Red...

 

 

 

I like it when the rival is a jerk, that way you don't feel as bad when you knock out their entire team with one Pokemon :']
