Glad to hear work is being done on the game! How exactly does Collection migrating work? My guess is that everyone's collections are stored as data files which are movable into the seperate program used for the new version.

Once the multiplayer components have been successfully rolled out, the development team will begin work on finishing the Mac client. As previously stated, we anticipate this version of the client to be available before the end of this year. When the Mac client rolls out, we plan to include all the same functionality that the Windows client has at that time.

 

While it may not be a firm release date, it does mention that we're still on track with our "before the end of the year" timeline, and that the Mac client will not face the same staggered launch that the Windows client did.

Our current plan is to release the core components of multiplayer before the end of August, with additional features rolling out in the weeks that follow. These core components will include player collections, Player vs. Player, Practice Battle, and the deck builder, as well as the Black & White–Dark Explorers and Black & White–Dragons Exalted sets.

 

Very excited to see that we're only 1 month away from getting the new Multiplayer and Deck Builder released, along with the two latest card sets. Goes to show how much progress is being made behind the scenes.

 

Are there are plans on perhaps integrating the TCG Online Store into the client in the future, or is it just going to stay as a separate entity on the website itself?

Yeah a soft date.

 

I was prepaired for Sept so this is excellent news and I am excited. I now understand better why we had to wait for DEX to be released if our collections needed to be moved.

Is Dragons going to be at the end of August or in Sept?

 

When is chat enabled or did I miss it?

 

PvP - will it be random, like it was, or can we battle friends?

O.O New forum features? YES! I hope that will include new sections for video games, anime, media, etc! I always liked the "official" Pokemon forum here and am hoping to see it expand a lot. Personally, I think a few major existing fan forums have some internal problems with certain staff....

What exactly will Player vs Player detail? I'm really hoping to be able to play directly against friends, but I suppose random would be ok too XD. And I too would like to know whether chat will be enabled.

 

I'm hoping it'll be announced at the World Championships (I'll be there so that'll be pretty cool!)

Here's hoping the game is out not too long after dragons. I'm really looking forward to playing with those cards. Like many others I'm curious as to whether or not PvP will still be completely random, or if we'll be able to play vs friends. Since it sounds like the focus will shift to MAC as soon as multiplayer launches, I'm hoping we get friend battles without needing to wait until next year.

Looking forward to the realease of the new sets. This might sound wierd but it would be nice to have the 2 sets [DEX and DRE] Released with a weeks gap in between, in order to make trading for the new cards a little less manic. But I suppose it doesn't matter much for me as I am prob gonna be on vacation for the launch. Its a shame that TCGO now is downloadable as I would have much prefered a V2 on the internet. But as long as my parents let me download it here until I get my new Laptop I should be ok.

I saw a thread earlier from a player asking if it was possible to have an optional reset of the collection since the last time we played, there were 2 sets that werent released and some of us might want to focus on the newer sets to build decks. I know a lot of people want to keep their own collection and i can understand why, but i did see some people who wanted to have a reset..therefore making it an optional one could be a good option for the people who do want to focus on the newer sets

Out of curiosity, will the code scanner feature be added soon? much less work to add credits. Also with rotation just around the corner, will cards from rotated set that are reprinted in newer set be available? Like for example CoL basic eenrgys. XD

 

 

 

Other than that I can't wait for the next 2 sets to come out and hopefully the scanner will be available.

What about trading?

 

When will trading in the current version of the game end? I assume you will need to take trading offline for some amount of time so players' collections can be transferred.

I don't know if this is the place for suggestions, but I think it would be really nice to create an app for smartphones that allows you to scan the TCGO codes into your account, since computer webcams are pretty iffy, but there's the infrastructure in place for smartphones to read QR codes quickly and efficiently, so I would think that's a better option than trying to make every single webcam work.

I am new to this game online, and so far am very pleased with what I see.

 

I am super anxious to be able to play the game in full and see all that is beyond Trainer Challenge.

 

In multiplayer, will this be anything like Pokemon the Trading Card Game Gameboy game, except with better graphics? That would be pretty cool, Or is it going to be much more similar to what I can see of the old Pokemon TCG online?

OMG. Mods, are you insane!? Yes, VBullitan V4.2 is awesome, I know as it's at the Serebii forums, but there is something called (USername)'S Activity on their profile. On it, it shows all actions done by them and their friends, that is key stalker and predator bait. Though, I do love the idea, will we be able to upload our own Avatars and get Mode approval? Will the Censor not be as buggy.... Also, what about Moderating VMs and PMs? THose are awesome features. I'm happy that you guys are taking a step in a good direction, I might actually stay to see how this plays out.

the better question,which i held in my mind till now is why release everything at once.the key word being everything.

 

as we all know we won't and weren't satisfied with what we got the first time so this time it may be the same again.

 

my reasons:

 

1-releasing everything at once will once again be stressful for both the profs and for the players-there will be bugs,there will be unhappy players,there will be plenty of things to repair

 

2-it just won't be enough->some people will want tournaments,some people will want different formats etc

 

3-will the servers be actually able to hold it?the first day is gonna be the biggest visit in this site history,with people logging in,entering codes,creating profiles,buying packs,opening packs,trading etc
