Trainer Challenge Opponents

Hello fellow trainers -

 

Here is a little excerise that I could use your help with. I am trying to decide who is the best/toughess player of all the different opponents currently in the Trainer Challenge. Can you take the following list and put them in the order of best to not-so good? This can be based on your play experience and it can also be based on your perception of opponents from their picture, their descriptions, their chat or just who you like the best. Whatever you want. However please let me know in your post what criteria you used to make your determination.

Doing them all would be quite tough, but I can definitely name the top 3 as they stand out:

 

 

 

- Daniel: he's definitely the toughest. Donphan Prime is at many times (almost) impossible to deal with with the decks usable in the Trainer Challenge, and besides that he has of course Zekrom (which we fortunately can also use, but with a MUCH weaker deck, and no Pokemon Collector to fetch it)

 

- Rika: Also a case of, in this case, Reshiram in a much more powerful deck than our Reshiram deck and much more easily fetchable. However, she doesn't have something near the treat of Donphan Prime fortunately.

 

- Otis: No Dragons or something of Donphan Prime's threat level, but he still has a better deck than the rest.

 

 

 

I do NOT want to see Daniel or Rika be edited or removed, but I'd still like to add: UNLESS we get the option to use our own deck or AI decks, please do not add such opponents anymore. Having hard opponents is great of course. But it's no fun if they're just hard because they have stuff the available decks for use have trouble with. Especially with Daniel: 9/10 wins vs him are just dumb luck of him not drawing Donphan Prime (and/or Zekrom).

 

 

 

Other than that, I say that the decks containing Dark and Steel separately (with something else) are the best, and the mono-color decks are the worst (exceptions are the Fighting and the Electric decks. And the Electric/Fire deck is about as bad as the rest of the mono-color decks). Simply because of their performance, hard to specify.

 

 

 

What exactly is this list for, by the way? Just in case, I'll add this: please do not modify existing opponents. You can always use new opponents for new/improved decks (or the same opponent in a new cup, of course).

Daniel definitely he is hard to beat when he pulls Zekrom. I lucked out and beat he once when he used Zekrom and once when he ran out of cards and I was not getting anything good.

Daniel, Rika, and Kendall are the most challenging.

 

Having battled every trainer a minimum of 15 times with each of the following decks: Basic Blue/Green/Red and Daybreak

 

my winning% against those 3 trainers is between 20-50%

 

This is a drastic drop from my 75-90 winning percentage against the rest of the trainers

Well personally i think Mich,Zach and maybe Kendall or Loagin would the toughest.And its nice to see them running some the older sets.Course i think that up to a point thus far everyone can breeze threw them.So maybe adding some change ups to their decks when it comes to the final city championships league might make them alittle tougher in the TC and tougher in practice mode.

Even on expert mode their easy to beat with any deck set up correctly.

well, you can only use pre-defined decks in trainer challenges. And most have no cards to search through the deck.

I find any trainer with a Legendary Cards can defeat you pretty easily; getting your decks powerful enough to fight Legendary Cards AND surviving is pret-ty hard.

I think we need better cards for basic green, blue and red. You can't win against powerful decks with Zekrom, Reshiram, Donpham prime and good supporters. The only way to win is luck. The game isn't balanced.
