problem with promotional cards

the problem with the cards such as reshiram EX promo or zekrom EX promo is that they are not considered a basic or even a pokemon in the hand because every time i try to use pokemon communication it wont allow me to exchange the reshiram EX or Zekrom EX. The game also wont allow me to search for those cards with heavy ball or pokemon collector. It would be nice if this problem is solved thanks.

Im getting the same thing with my zekrom ex, i can't find him with my heavy ball.
