A screen shot once a week would be a nice. (I like the idea, sounds familiar)

 

As to Gems - Info sooner rather then later would be nice, as the Licensing Agreement did seem to focus on it.

 

Also an order of feature rollouts would be nice. What is next after the trainer challenge? Trading, Multiplay, Store?

Nice to see that screenshots will be released to keep us updated on what's happening.

 

I hope that if you can purchase Gems, that they will be able to be exchanged for Booster Packs or Theme Decks, instead of the current method, where you have to redeem Codes for Booster Credits, then redeem Booster Credits for Booster Packs.

 

Edit: Forgot to ask. It looks like one button was missing from the explanation. The button between the Collection button and the Trade button (looks like 3 cards inside of a deck box) has not yet been identified. I wonder what it is.

Q: Will mousing over a button tell you what the picture represents? (i.e. mousing over collection will cause the word collection to pop up somewhere near it.) I think that would be really helpful.

Looks like I missed a button. I've added the description for the missing button into the gallery thread.

 

Mousing over the button will give pop-up text for what that button is.

 

As for the rest of the question so far, that information will be discussed over the course of the summer. Stay tuned!

Can you just give us a hint at the next thing that will be rolled out? I do love the screen shots I just do not want to get excited about something that is a long way off.

 

A PvP with theme decks would be a nice addition and you can keep the cards used to a finite number. The Challange Cup is nice but does not have alot of replay value.

I have to say I'm very encouraged to see info coming out a a much quicker pace, as well as updates and fixes more than once a month. My thoughts on the latest screen shot:

 

The overall interface seems pretty smooth and easy to understand. I'm encouraged to see that new formats will be introduced! I guess it's kind of necessary with rotation coming up, but I'm happy to see there will be an option for other formats as well. Professor Cup immediately comes to mind (and Draft!? please please please....)

 

I am a little disappointed to see that the novice/expert issue hasn't been addressed. I feel like we really need more definitive information on what kind of decks are to be expected in each zone. The ability for players to bully newbies in novice and the irritation of basic color decks clogging up expert were things I was hoping would be fixed. I also would still like to see an intermediate mode for those decks that don't fall into either the expert or novice categories.

 

I hope that eventually players will be able to select presets for their match, possibly using the new play style feature. This would help cut down on a lot of the bickering that takes place here on the forums and also give us another level of customization.

I think rather than calling the two Novice and Expert it might be better to call them just Random and Ladder or something of this form. This way you don't have the unintentional bullying of players. Of course theme decks will always be a problem, but with better match up mechanisms, more players playing and capable of getting more cards other than the code cards and trading which should really solve the issue of basic color decks.

 

It would be great to introduced a draft format as well. I think set block formats would be an interesting inclusion as well where you can play only with HGSS - CoL cards, DP - PT, and so forth where sets are typically grouped together due to similarities in concept or period of creation. Another format I would like to see is the Japanese DP-on, or Palace, format with the point system (if they are continuing with the same list). It would greatly increase interested from Japanese players as well as the international crowd who are interested in trying something different.

I have a question on this new screenshot.

 

When you say, "...allow you to select whether you want to face an Unlimited deck, a Modified deck, a theme deck or any other crazy format...", do you mean that we will be able to set up rules for online matches? As an example, something along the lines of a rule to avoid being matched up with a human opponent that has an EX Pokémon in their deck?

Wow lots of new info about the overhauled trading page. I think it looks great. It seems much easier to understand and harder for people to take advantage of. I would like to see a specific offer too. I hope that those will also be much easier to understand with a clear distinction between what you are giving away and what you are getting. I also hope there will be a warning if you are about to create/accept an empty trade offer.

 

The search bar looks fine, I just hope it works.

 

I like the ability to tag cards to make offers easier to grasp at a glance, and the fact that offering and wanted are clearly distinct. That combined with the ability to report offers will help cut down on trade scams I hope.

 

Time limit was absolutely essential. I'm glad to see it will be included.

 

Can you give us any info on how binders will work with the new trade system?

Looks great. I cannot wait to try it. It will be as big a change to trading as adding the Public System.

 

Will it have any form of value so that new people will be kept from making bad trades?

This improved trade system sounds fantastic! I really like it! If I'm understanding right we'll be able to choose a single card and just filter out offers for said card?

 

 

 

I'm also glad to see the end of "my binder is up!" trades. All they did was clog the forum and when you actually took the time to make an fair offer to someone they'd never accecpt it anyway.

This new trade screen is quite impressive. I agree in that this fixes the previous issue with all the "Binder is Up" messages, with people just advertising their binders and not actually trading anything.
