2 Decks, 11 Next Destiney Booster Packs - No EX

I thought I got screwed, then i mentioned it in chat,

 

 

 

hi253: I opened 40 nd packs and got nothing.

 

 

 

Not complaining, just wondering if anyone knew what the odds of actually getting a EX type is in these packs?

 

Bit discouraging so far.. That Mewtwo is too sweet not to try for

You don't get any EXs from theme decks. I've opened MANY ND packs, 170-180 maybe. I've pulled 1 Mewtwo Full Art and around 4 or 5 regular Mewtwo. 3 Full art EXs, and 5 or 6 regular EXs (The other 5 EXs). Roughly 1 EX in 12-13 Packs for myself.

 

 

 

I find it easier to pull EXs by opening 1 pack at a time in between time variables like 30 minutes - 1 hour or so. If you do pull an EX, stop. Wait, then open again. Your odds of pulling an EX consecutively are very very very slim.

No, I find that waiting gives me a better chance of getting rare cards. Not just opening alot of bulk.

(Really that dont make much sense. Ive got 12 packs the other week.Opened them all at once Pulled a Mewtwo EX,Shaymin EX, and Regigigas EX. Also a Shiny Emboar, so Your way must be wrong or maybe I just got lucky

I think the odds are actually less from a Booster Box. I've pulled better cards after buying individual packs from different stores in different states. I'm assuming that when they pack the Booster Box it's all cards from one printing session, and that they don't mix them up. I don't know. But there used to be actual odds on the packs... I don't remember anymore, I'm too concerned with opening them. The booster Box is of course an awesome way to get the whole collection of cards. I'm basically only missing most of the EX cards from Next Destinies. I only have three, and that's maybe from 40 to 45 packs.

My mistake, I thought you meant online. Pulling EXs in real life are difficult. A box will have At least 2 Regular EXs and 1 Full art, that's average. 36 packs = 3 EXs = 1:12 pack ratio.

I also find that packs the have Rare Cards are heavier.

 

So go for the heavy packs
