After stumbling for the first few games I am beginning to adapt to the new system.

 

Not sure how useful we can be testing cards as we are limited in the card choices.

 

For a first step letting us use our own decks would help. Playing the stock desks is very frustrating as they are not very competitive. If we cannot not play desks we have created then a greater choice of decks would help.

 

I will report what I can, but it is hard to know what is known and what is already fixed making our reports less then useful.

 

 

 

Also some hint of the trading and chat system would be nice as both seem to have fallen off with the new system.

Most of the issues with Trainer Challenge V.2.0 are graphics-related, so I'm psyched that the graphic quality will be improved upon in the coming weeks.

 

Of course, there is some confusing game flow as well. I'd be happy to fill out some bug reports once the topic is posted.

 

Aside from that, I haven't had any issues with installing, logging into, or playing the Trainer Challenge. Like I said, about 80% of what I have seen so far regarding things that need to be fixed, have to do with the graphics. Allowing users to left-click on a card and zoom in, spacing of the cards in your hand, attack animations, improving the graphics quality of the in-game menus, etc.

The game’s new architecture allows us to roll out bug fixes, updates and polish very rapidly via patching.

 

I agree with a lot of what DialgaChampion said. Most of the issues are graphical rather than gameplay. That's definitely preferable to the other way around. I hope the above quote is true though. The new PvP is going to have to release two new sets at once, as well as fix the many bugs that weren't adressed in verson one. I'm hopeful that you guys will keep your word and follow thorugh on this promise, but at this point I need to see it happen to believe it.

I am not a constant player, one who signs on on a daily basis, so I am just getting news on the new update. and sadly I do not like it. Now, I am unable to play at work because we use Linux, and at home I Have a Mac. and now that I need to install a application in order to play, I cant do so. Please bring back the choice for the web based play.

Is there any possibility that the AI opponents in Single Player could get better cards? I feel like it's kinda pointless to test my Tier 1 deck against that which resembles a Theme Deck..... Or how about getting to build a deck for the AI and having it use that, also making the AI learn how to play better with each battle. (kind of like on Akinator how with the more games he plays, the smarter he gets) (for those who don't know, Akinator is a game with an AI who tries to guess a character you are thinking of by asking you questions like "What color is the character's hair?" or "Is your character from an Anime?")

Pretty rediculous to delay the mac version...my boy and I just sat down to play only to findout that....well, we can't....."until later this year"...whenever that is. We'll see...we may have moved on to something else at that point.

Actually i have a problem ... once i reedemed a code for Shadow theme deck,it said t was in my collectionetc that i unlocked it ,but them i went to TC and didn't got the deck how come i didn't ot it ...?? i tried to reedem the code once more but it said it was already reedemed and didn't let me ..! How can i fix this cuz i really want to play my deck in TC but i can not

I'm really enjoying being able to play this on my computer instead of through a browser, except I'm experiencing some issues that allow me to enjoy this fully.

 

 

 

First, when ever I play more than one game, every time I deal damage the opponent immediately deals damage back to me. No Poke-Bodies, Powers, or anything like that is active, so this has to be a bug somewhere. I keep loosing games over and over where I should have easily won because I'm dealed this 'false' damage. Any ideas?

 

Second, which isn't as big of an issue, but I'd still like to have it. The music in the game just isn't there at all. I hear the sound effects just fine, but no music.

 

 

 

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I am very disgruntled with the changes that you all are applying to the site.  One of the biggest benefits for players is the ability to play in the browser.  Moving away from this is very disappointing.  Secondly I cannot figure why you guys do not have a development environment for applying changes.  This way you can test the changes in the development environment before applying to production (which would ideally reduce the maintenance window).  Thirdly I am very disappointed that the web multiplayer is down.  If you are moving to an executable windows type of application shouldn't you be able to run the online multiplayer while you are making the new multiplayer game?  Finally I paid a decent amount of money for point cards via ebay to be able to play this game and now I cannot even play and there is no time frame for when I can play.  Overall I think I am feeling disappointed in the overall management and handling of the online tcg.  

 

As a final note, I would like to know if you will be offering a refund for point cards purchased to play the online tcg game since now it appears it will not be online but installable which I am not sure I really want to do.

Also, Mac version aside for the moment, is there a place where updates to the new downloadable version are being tracked? A version log we can view and follow? Things like that are most helpful for games with many updates - and something any DOTA player has come to appreciate immensely.

I've beat the whole trainer challenge all three leagues with all three decks...and I still havent been able to unlock these decks into my collection for online play. I keep checking into the packs section but they don't show up. Do I have to win 12 times consecuatively without losing or logging off/closing application, or is this just a bug? I don't understand why this hasn't been addressed if it is a known bug.

So... All the progress I made in the trainer challenge is now gone? This seems like it's being handled really weirdly... Why not leave up the site that actually worked and then worked out the kinks of this new one? Now if someone gets a new booster pack, it looks like they can't even use it yet. This is really disappointing and frankly kind of stupid... Am I missing something?

Ok,here is another question on top of all the other problems your having with trainer challenge.I downloaded the trainer challenge 1 last time.This time it downloaded as u said it would.Ran a scan and said it was safe.However,when i went to run it it freezes up my computer.I had to shut down my computer and basically crash it to get things to work again.This happened twice;WHY!If i loose data on my computer because of this im going to be very mad.Im working past anoyed right now.Im not going to run or test your program like you requested me to untill you do something about this freezing up problem.I dont visit or play as long as i used to because i find this place boring.

 

So,if you want me to test your little product,it needs to be fixed or tell me how to fix this problem from my end.Im getting very tired of things not working when i goto do something like finish out my trainer challenges.If you cant get this new one to work,then perhaps its time to set it back to the old trainer challenge!omething needs to be done now!And im sure im not the only one as ive read from the prior messages.I mean shoot me an email on whats going on with this and tell me how to fix this or ill just uninstall your program and have nothing else to do with it.People arent asking for much.And im not either.I just want to be able to do more than talk,Comuter AI,and trade.This is boring for alot of us older players.Thats why i dont see much of my other old friends in here any more.

honestly im seriously considering boycotting pokemon just because of this i mean all the money on code cards and online packs and now who knows when mac users will get to play again it doesnt seem like you value your customers whatsoever. so i will seriously just quit playing and literally tell everyone i know to stop playing i prsonally got around 10 people to start playing and i will tell each one to stop. i dont feel appreciated as a customer whatsoever. which is a real shame cause i always loved pokemon but this is depressing great i have a large collection of cards that i cant use so why play even after the mac side gets up and running its probably just a matter of time before it happens again

I agree Weezing26. I am not going to be playing the new installable game. This all boils down to poor management on their part. The online application seemed decent and they decide to scrap the whole game to go with an installable one (that some users cannot even use). They do not even consider the customer or players in this situation at all. Crooks! Another example of an online TCG game being managed into the ground. If it makes any of the programmers happy then my opinion is your boss and his boss should be fired.

I just don't get it. Wasn't v2.0 supposed to be running on Unity? Why only the windows beta? Unity is cross platform and runs on iOS as well. More and more developers are creating games that are using Unity for it's multi-platform compatibility and it's additional bonus of taking a browser-based game mobile (iPad and other tablets).

 

Already I am saddened that there is only a Windows download since I am a Mac user and dev. Windows sucks. Sorry, that's a bit harsh. Windows really sucks. We dev for it because there are still so many sheeple that use it. That's all. And Unity is the latest answer to this scenario, especially since Flash sucks and is unavailable on iOS.

 

My last gripe is the same one I had weeks ago; The decks and cards the company sells say "PLAY THIS DECK ONLINE". Now that this seems to be moving to a local client, this seems very misleading. Not to mention that right now you cannot play them online. It's false advertising and leaves you open to an ugly lawsuit.

 

Bottom line is you have a few of us willing to take a few minutes to tell you that we are unhappy. The majority don't even bother and are moving on to something else. You are losing massive player base each and every day.

 

The fastest growing sector is mobile. Are you?

 

Big missed opportunity and ball dropped. This should have been Gold and rolled out with the release of the new physical cards, with the ability for players all over the world to choose ANY device to play on. Really a huge bummer.

For those with a Mac or anything other than Windows, the state is the same. You can't play ...and if you bought anyting for this card game ....to play online....you have wasted your money until they decide to get around to fixing it so that everyone can play.
