@ inferneo:

No, better yet, show the people that think that Pokemon is for toddlers either the manga (especially the Pokemon Tower one) or the scene in Platinum when Giratina takes Cyrus into the distortion world. Or maybe tell them B/W's story.

... if all else fails, just hit them over the head with a log... tounge_smile.png

Hello, I'm 16 years old and I've been playing Pokemon since I was 4. Favorite starter is Squirtle (I remember the good old days, 100 Blastoise Sweeps :D) Favorite starter too battle with is probably Empoleon, becauase of it's nice coverage and typing. I obviously like Water Types the best and usually pick them as my starter (Except for Torchic, Blazekin is too awesome) I've been playing since Red and Blue were released, and have played every generation. I used too play the TCG and had a pretty nice collection of my favorite cards....UNTIL THEY GOT THROWN OUT FOR NO REASON! <img src="http://www.pokemontcg.com/javascripts/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/png/angry_smile.png" alt="" /> I am back of the TCG scene and I cant wait till this game is done! :D

On a Non-Pokemon Note, I am an Actor, Singer, and Dancer and in High School

I am 40 + mom that plays pokemon games and cards. So, yeah, I am in love with pokemon. When will we be able to create our own decks and play against others online? Glad to see that the testing stage is up and running now. I did notice that the AI was able to play a supporter card on the first turn. I said "Uh?" Breaking the rules already, eh?

Hi there all, I am "Sourshark" or just plain Steven. LOL, I havent seen the AI play a "supporter" card on the first turn, but typical. As I am so new to the TCG I'm sure they could break lots of rules with out me catching it, just glad someone is trying to keep them (the programers) honest. I am sure they will get all the bugs out before launch though...thats what "beta testing" is for.

Also, as a 40 something player/collector who got into Pokemon because my 9 year old daughter is very involved with the TCG and the games for DS, I was simply glad to see someone else in the same age bracket as myself doing some posting... I look forward to playing the online version when it launches! Good luck and fun to all!

p.s. We play in a weekly league, have a collection of about 800 cards, watch the animes, and she owns a few games for the DSXL I got her this Christmas. I try to sneak on so I can play HeartGold, but she rarely lets me as she is playing Black, and finishing SoulSilver as well.... Fun stuff!

Hello my fellow pokemon fans!! My name is Nathan and I am 19. I haven't played a real life Pokemon card game other than the gameboy version in years! But it's so nice to find out it's going to be available online for everyone around the world! I can finally enjoy my favorite card game!! I'm new to the forums and I just found out about the Beta yesterday night. I just want to help and also support the staff and say thanks and to keep up all the nice work. I'll try to help as much as I can. It's nice to meet some fellow Pokecitizens and can't wait to make friends and share some fun battles and conversations with you!

My earlier post was supposed to be a "reply" to a post on page 2 that came from another 40 year old. Regardless, Im Steven, I am a big fan of the game, as I got into it through my 9 year old daughters interest, and I look forward to helping to support and be part of the community, and continue to support her interest as I feel it is a healthy and fun game for any age or gender...peace all!

Hi, I'm R2, and I have been a fan since I was around seven. Even though I did not buy any of the games, except for Pearl, I held onto Pokemon because I really liked it, despite the fact that I have not been able to see over half of the anime or play the remaining games. I like very generation, and every single Pokemon (except for one), ******** not yet seen the new generation, which I cannot wait to see them. I also draw them and have made up some of my own just for fun. As far as the TCG, I always loved it and understood it only after I bought an EXPO theme deck that had the rules with it. Like most, I was never able to play against someone in my small community. I had to persuade my brother to be my opponent, ******* only able to do that only less than ten times. Just last week, I found a place in the nearby city where TCG tournaments are held every Saturday and became really excited to attend one. Then, TCG comes up online and threw me into a whole new level of card game experience that I am hoping it will encourage people to join. Can't wait to get this starting!

wow! that sounds like me "the fireburn". you are my other me.

RyuShoji

Hi, I'm RyuShoji (Although you can call me Josh). I am 19 years old and from the United Kingdom. I am also the main news reporter of the PokémonWorld UK fansite, which was founded by a friend of mine.

I have been a Pokémon fan since Christmas 1999 when I got Pokémon Red Version (which is now signed by Junichi Masuda!). I admit, I grew out of the TCG around the start of the Diamond and Pearl era, but it was my six year old brother's budding interest in Pokémon that threw me back in.

I have always wanted something like this, as the store that hosted the local TCG league back in 2000/2001 has since closed down, and the nearest league is a train journey away and run by jerks. I'm very interesting in battling someone who I don't have to let win in fear of temper tantrums xD

Hi everyone!

I'm Chrixeleon, or Chris in real-life. I've been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue came out and I haven't missed a game in the main series since. I watched the anime for a while, dabbled in the trading card game once before, and have enjoyed Pokémon in general the whole time.

Currently, I'm the Electric Gym Leader in the Pokémon League that I established at my college and I'm still getting the hang of the competitive battling scene. I'm excited to see what the new Unova additions, as well as older Pokémon with new tricks, can bring to the metagame.

I didn't anticipate getting back in to the TCG, but I was hooked when I played the demo at PAX East a few weekends ago. I'm excited to be a part of the beta and can't wait to meet and battle some of you in the future!

See you around!

Chrixeleon

You really established a living pokemon league at your college? Please tell me this is true.

My name is jake and I'm seventeen years old. My location.. I'M AMERICAN! Tee hee ^^

I have been enjoying and throroughly playing the pokemon series games since red and blue for over ten years now porbably since I was five or six. I believe there was a lapse for me between ruby and diamond and pearl, but since pearl so much pokemon franchise has come out and evolved, there has been no way of escaping it. I became hooked once again which includes now enjoying the anime once again, playing games non-stop and exploring the internet for more pokemon merchandise and enjoyment which led me to this. It's debatable whether my first game was blue or pokemon stadium, but either way I became a direhard fan for life soon enough. Starting at an early age really helped the addicition. Since, I've come to play at least one of the two colors in each generation, my twin always got the other version I didn't get, and I've enjoyed most of the third versions included in each generation [sadly excluding emerald] I've never really been into the tcg, but I used to fool around with cards with my brother at a young age: I have specific memories of doing this at my grandma's house years ago, and I remember using a fantastic vileplume who knew petal dance. Did we play correctly? Probably not, and I'm sure the rules were skewed, but it was fun all the same. And now that I've discovered the tcgo, I'm slowly learning the simplicity and fun addicition of the card game that I never knew before. Perhaps this will take me recreationally somewhere, or maybe even lead me to other and greater opportunities and life, but it's fun and I enjoy it. I say, as long as we live on, Pokemon will too. For you true fans out there, keep it in your hearts.

Professor-Maple

Hi, I'm Professor Maple... I've been playing the TCG since Base Set and have attended the first five Pokemon World Championships... I used to be a Pokemon Professor when Wizards of the Coast owned the license... My proudest moment in my Organized Play (OP) career is that I was asked to be head judge for the first Professor Challenge Tournament...

-

I am really looking forward to the full on-line implementation of the TCG...

-

Please stop by The Maple Grove to talk about the Pokémon Trading Card Game On-line!

Hi, my name is Nic and I'm 13 years old. I have been a fan of pokemon since I was 5 and have a quite a collection of games. I love the anime and have only just started to get into the tcg. I play quite a lot of tcgs. I stopped playing pokemon when I was 10 but recently started again by buying pokemon white and the red frenzy theme deck. Sadly, I don't know anyone who plays pokemon tcg near me but I think the tcgo is a great idea for people like me to have someone to play against!

Hey everybody I'm Andrew and I'm 16. I've played pokemon ever since red, blue and yellow came out. I live in South Africa So pokemon isn't the biggest thing around especially the tcg. Thankfully we have a small community who are all interested in the different aspects of pokemon; be it the tcg, Anime or games.

I personally am crazy about the tcg and have been bulding a deck from the latest expansions and can't wait to show you people how kick ass south africa is. Hopefully this online version of the tcg will allow us to organise tournaments between different leagues from different countries.

I can't wait till the site is fully up and running. Gonna be EPIC!!!!!!!!

Hello! I'm from Hungary. I can't say to much thing about me. I'm 19 years old. I'm playing different pokemon games about since 10 years. I played all the DS and GameBoy version and I'm happy to hear about this game. This game is awesome! In my country pokemon trading card game is rare and I don't have any. Lost I have played TCG on the GameBoy. So I'm very happy with this game. I hope it will be like that. When you win you got a card and you can create your own deck. But in this state of the is very exciting and fun but it could be even better! :)

Thank you for this awesome game! :)

Hello to all, I am a 23 year old male. (from Texas)

I remember when I used to make fun of my best friend at high school for liking pokemon, until after we graduated high school he taught me how to play sort of.

I actually liked the anime/cartoon sort of, but never gave a chance to the tcg, or any video game.

Until I bought Pokemon Diamond for the DS.... well that hooked me to pokemon everythjng...

then one day, I bought my first pre constructed deck and ever since I became hooked to collecting the cards and playing... mostly by myself but recently I trained my 8 year old nephew...
