how do i go about trading cards have only the basic and dont know how to purchase cards what is one booster and what is that in dollars?

When you buy physical booster packs in shops (with a red card icon with the text Online on the back of it), the packs contains a card with a code you can redeem in the online shop. You will then get a "virtual booster pack credit" you can use either to buy a virtual/online booster pack and open it, or you can use the booster credit in trade.

 

 

 

I am new in here, but I can tell you for sure that I am not going to trade any booster credits. I will open my own booster packs and see if I get lucky instead of using them in trades.

 

There is a thread made by a moderator somewhere explaining everything about which online codes you can find in what packs. I recommend you read it (sorry I can't find a link right now - the forum search function does not work), because if not you risk buying physichal booster packs, theme decks etc without any online code in it. I bought a nightfall deck a few days ago because I've seen it in the trainer challenge, but it turned out there's no online code in the pack I bought.

Hey there SalBarz, currently the only way to get cards is by purchasing Booster Packs or Theme decks that have specially marked icons that say "Play this deck online!" on the front of the box, and:

 

"Contains 1 code card. This card gives you access to an additional deck for play in the Pokemon TCG Online Trainer Challenge" on the back of the box. As for trading, players cannot trade any cards from the basic decks (Basic Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green). Good luck!

I just checked, and you are right the red icon it is on the front of the theme decks, but it is on the back of the five emerging powers booster packs I have bought.

i just found out i cant trade my basic set!sorry nothing to trade!but will take any card you think is crappy and try it in my set!! and challenge you with it!!jajaa
