No custom decks in Trainer Challenge

I was curious why they are not allowed. Is it to keep it a challenge? Current meta decks would just steamroll over the trainers and their sub-par decks. Is that the reason why we can't use the decks we build in trainer challenge? Or are there other reasons as well?

I sure hope Trainer Challenge V2 grants the ability to use your own deck. As "not a challenge" is a reason of nothing: they can just make it so that you first need to beat someone before you get the right to challenge him/her with a deck of your own (or even have to finish the entire cup first), and any "broken challenge" afterwards is 100% your own choice for 0% gain (but 100% fun). Besides, you can of course make things more challenging instead depending on what deck you make.

I'd really like to be able to at least tweak the decks a little, there's quite a bit of stupid stuff (worthless Basic Pokemon without their evolutions, mainly) in the physical theme decks that they really didn't need to carry into the virtual ones.

 

Oh, and use Basic Yellow. Not actually sure why we can't do that now, to be honest. I didn't even know it existed at first.
