Zoroark/Yanmega/Terrakion Deck

K3RUPT

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I decided to make a fun deck. I have some pretty good games with this deck. It can really make a comeback at times and come through with an upset victory.

Pokemon (17):

3-3 Yanmega Prime - Snipe tynamos, Hit for 70 T2 for no energy

2-2 Zoroark - Absolutely wrecks big basic decks

2 Terrakion - Revenge KO

2 Mewtwo EX - Hit for big damage and counter other mewtwos, usually used late game

1 Tyrogue - Great with catcher to ko pokes with 30 hp or less left

1 Shaymin UL - More of a late game tech to move energies onto mewtwo or terrakion

1 Cleffa - Draw power, stall tactic

Trainers (18):

4 Junk arms - Get trainers from discard/Thin out your hand for Yanmega to attack

2 Lost Remover - Energy denial (Really useful at times/junk arm fodder)

2 Max Potion - Heal damage off Yanmegas at no cost, heal Mewtwo and slap another DCE onto him Lol :D

2 Pokegear 2.0 - Get those judges/oaks/copycats into your hand

3 Catcher - To stall or finish off something

2 Pokemon Communication - Get Pretty much anything not basic

1 Super rod - Get those Fighting energies into your deck/Pokes in the discard

2 Switch - Fat Terrakion got dragged up :/

Supporters (13):

4 Copycat - Hand refresher/Match handsizes

4 Judge - Same as copycat but distruption

3 Pokemon Collector - Get your basics out ready to evolve T2

2 Pont- Draw power

Energy (12):

4 DCE - For Mewtwo/Zoroark

4 Special Dark Energy - For Zoroark

4 Fighting Energy - For Terrakion

Strategy:

I'm pretty sure you guys know how Yanmega works. Zoroark is to counter big basics which almost every deck runs. With 1 sp dark he can foul play a blue flare or bolt strike for 130 a reshi/zek. Only 1 retreat also. Terrakion is to revenge KO for 90 and to counter ZekEels which is so big in this format. Mewtwo is mewtwo, to fight/start the mewtwo war. Also this deck runs really well because the energy works well between most of the pokes. Except for Terrakion, because he needs fighting energy. I would run prism energies but there is no way to get them back. Since theres so much shuffling in this deck, I usually draw into Terrakions and Mewtwos when I need them. That's why i figured I didn't need the dual balls.

Again, like all my builds this is a very tight deck list. I'd like your constructive criticism. Try this deck out, it's really fun.

Hey thanks pyro! :D It's definitely not a tier 1 deck, but it is something different.

I would run pluspowers/exp shares but there is no room. lol Although dropping shaymin and tyrogue may be better suited for some people.

So THIS was the deck you used against me last night, eh? I'm just glad you didn't have a Terrakion with 2 Fightings on the field. XD

I do so love the Yanmega/Terrakion combo, though. My favorite part is using Yanmega to put damage on the field, then having Terrakion clean house afterwards once Yanmega gets KOed.

yeah it was Larry. I left the game because you used the junk arm glitch, i dunno if you used it intentionally or not but I decided to leave.

Terrakion/Yanmega is a great combo though. :D

Yeah, I didn't even notice there was a glitch with Junk Arm until the screen told me I could play it - surprised me as well.

I was incidentally testing out a Zebstrika/Magnezone deck idea I'd had for awhile.

Should definitely run Eels if you want Zebstrika/Magnezone. I can see how you were using distruption though, I saw you running weaviles, and slowking. I'll post my build for the smoochum, mime jr. weavile, slowking deck. It's a more challenging version of durant basically. Also to see how long it takes for your opponent to rage quit. xD
