So, just curious: how do you deal with opponents who just won't draw cards as soon as they see Durant? Curious because I've faced multiple Durant decks, and they were are real easy because of my "strategy" (just their deck depletion attack is far too slow), and Cobalion was by far not enough to switch to the offense.

My suggestion is add 1 more rotom add 2 more lost removers and 2 more hammers. Remove one eviolite and what's the point of rainbows, use prisms since all your pokemon as basics.

Not sure if you'd be interested, but here's the Durant deck I run, copy+pasted from where I posted it on another site:

So I've seen the Mewtwo tech in a couple of Durant decks and I figured I'd try it out for myself. This is a very, very good deck. Some Pre-Next Destinies Durant decks would use Cobalion in a similar fashion to mixed results, but the problem with Cobalion is it takes a minimum of 3 turns to power up. Mewtwo can be powered up in a single turn with a DCE, making it a very deadly card in this deck, especially if your opponent isn't prepared. Having Twins in this deck is very advantageous for this reason.

In fact, this deck works best against "good" players that know how to play against regular Durant decks. By this I mean they will conserve resources and only have one or two Pokemon in play. By teching in Mewtwo, you take advantage of their weak field and can pull out a victory by sweeping the field if victory by milling isn't possible.

So here's my deck list. I've considered removing the level balls in favor of dual balls since everything is a basic and it would allow me to grab Mewtwo with it instead of just Rotom/Durant. However I like that it's guaranteed whereas 33% of the time you will whiff and get nothing with dual balls.

Pokemon: 6

4 x Durant

1 x Rotom

1 x Mewtwo EX

Trainers/Supporters: 43

4 x Pokemon Collector

4 x Professor Oak's New Theory

4 x Twins

2 x Professor Juniper

1 x N

4 x Junk Arm

4 x Revive

4 x Crushing Hammer

3 x Lost Remover

3 x Catcher

3 x Eviolite

2 x Level Ball

2 x Pokegear 3.0

2 x Switch

1 x Super Rod

Energy: 11

4 x Special Metal

2 x DCE

5 x Metal

How do you run rotom with metal energy?

I can get all of those cards just not mewtwo

Rotom is only used to switch out prize cards. I don't think there's any reason to attack with it. You could run prism energy if you wanted just for that but it seems like it's not really worth it to me with Mewtwo in the deck.

A durant deck just took the California regionals last weekend, so until "Dark Explorers" come out, Durant decks are probably the best option to go with. I say that only because they stand a chance to win against pretty much any deck. But again, when "Dark Explorers" comes out, they're not going to have the same advantage as they do now. The new Heatmor has a move that does extra damage to Durants, so soon people won't be using Durant decks or they'll need to some how include water pokemon or use some other type of strategy to keep the Durants alive.

Don't run 2 rotom. your odds of starting with one Rotom are bad enough. Cobalion is slow, so if you run him I recommend trying out an EXP. Share.
