A weird place you can get Giratina at not in Platinum?

Ok, so along time ago on my Diamond, I went up a route in the middle-east of the Sinnoh Region and found an open path. I went through it and went into Spring something cave. I ventured through different walls and it was really dark. When I made it to the end of it there was a Giratina, in Altered forme, more powerful than the Giratina you get in Platinum. I caught it and kept it with me through my games making it really tough. Have any of you gone to this place or know of it? Or is it supposed to be a glitch in the game?

You can catch giratina in Diamond and Pearl

Yeah it is not a glitch I got one from there.

How come it is lvl 70 in D@P and lvl 49 in platinum

 

Also you can not give Giratina's orb in D@P
