As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon. It says "...prevent all effects of...." It does not say "...all attacks..." anywhere. In any case, I'm done with this thread.

the card is not broken it works exactly how it is desired
  3. 2 points
no GX attacks are the special OP attacks at the bottom of a GX card and can only be used once by "ALL" GX attacks it means no matter what GX attack it is whether it is on lycanroc GX or pikarom GX it cant do anything to benched pokemon.
  4. 2 points
There's no misunderstanding it perfectly states GX attacks, wich you can only use once per game so the other normal attacks from your GX pokémon will still damage you because it's not a GX attack. Capiche?

A GX Pokemon using an attack is not a GX attack.

No trader in the game is obliged to follow any sort of price guides. To make it more clear, the values in the guide are only perceptional and based on what the guide maker thinks the values are. Many of these values might be close to the real values. But the true and only source of finding proper value is to average out highest buying and lowest selling prices on public trades. Calling others 'scammers' based on price guides is something pointless in my opinion. No guide can compel traders to put up trades that the guide think its worth for. You have the choice of whether to take it or not. If you like it, its fair, if you don't its unfair ? That's not how it works. It depends on what he got the card for and how much people are paying for it. If not it will just expire. I don't see how this is scamming. Its an open trade. You like the deal, you grab it otherwise leave it.. Someone else who thinks its fair, will take it.

The same advice applies to you as applies to any other returning or new players: Grind for 500 Tokens Buy a more recent Theme Deck Use Theme Mode to grind for rewards (including Event Tickets) Play Theme Event to win booster packs you can trade Use booster packs to trade for the cards needed for other decks That first step won't be fun, but remember you have to re-learn the Theme Format's metagame. Yes, newer Theme Decks are stronger than older ones; that has always been true, it is just much more obvious after a 3-Year hiatus, and since the start of the SM-era, Theme Decks are borderline competent... which I consider to be a good thing, as they're supposed to be a learning tool for new players, as well as the foundation of their first deck.

So, I've returned recently to this game and there are still items that cannot be obtained that are trading at 700+ pack value in this game. Why is this allowed? It sends a bad message to new players in my opinion. I feel this game needs to allow people obtain all cards/gameplay pieces, perhaps in a new, custom "pack"/box. I don't like seeing all the exploitations out there. (I speak as a person with 4 beaches.) Also, in the versus rewards, can we please not just have full art trainers and EXs/GXs, but also LEGENDs, Primes, Secret Rare/Full Art Pokemon, and CoL/HGSS/Secret Rare energies? There's no reason why they wouldn't be cycled like all the other rare cards. Thanks!

Here's the final word on this thread: Force Canceler is working as intended. Pokémon TCG rulebook, Appendix D: Pokémon-GX: Pokémon TCG rulebook, Glossary: Essentially, the GX symbol has to be present in the attack's name for it to be considered a 'GX attack'. If Force Canceler were intended to prevent damage and effects of both GX and non-GX attacks from your opponent's Pokémon-GX it would be worded like Keldeo-GX's Pure Heart Ability.
  10. 1 point
This thread should closed already, you're the only one that misunderstood the card there's no bug or glitch in here, the card is working as intended, it prevents the effects and damage from GX attacks that can be used once per game so the other normal attacks from your GX pokémon will bypass the ability because it's not a GX attack (wich is a special technique every GX pokémon have and can be used once per game). It's equivalent to Z-moves from pokémon games which also can only be used once per game and Celesteela can block in the TCG. C'mon it's not that hard to understand this. If the ability blocked all effecs and attacks from GX pokémon the card would be way better and expensive and people would seek for this card and play it competitively but that's not the case because it only prevents/blocks "Z-moves" (GX attacks). It's quite easy to understand this if i may say.

Are you by chance using the attack "Tag Purge" from Latios GX with your M&M Tag Team? The attack reads: "During your opponents next turn, prevent all damage to this Pokemon by Tag Team Pokemon GX"
  12. 1 point
i also have a gira-chomp tag team. i had a mel-cario but traded it for some noice cards. anyway we should talk on TCG. i will be on in a few hours, at school right now and school internet blocks pokemon TCG sadly.
  13. 1 point
i think i can settle this this is what it would say if it prevented all damage from GX pokemon: As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponents attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon by gx pokemon or at least something like this. this is what ius says when it only prevents GX attacks: As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon. i get where u r comin from @0ThePokemonKing. i too had the same question but i realised what it meant. if it says GX attacks it mean the special once per turn attacks. if it say attacks of GX pokemon then it means damage done by all GX pokemon attacks.
  14. 1 point
When it has a Z crystal attached to it, or when it has the ability to use another Pokemon's attacks. You are just wrong about this. GX attacks are specifically attacks of a class such that only one GX attack may be used by a player in a game, except for the case of Bonnie and Zygarde-GX. If all attacks on GX Pokemon were GX attacks, that rule would apply to them, and only one would be able to attack at all, and only once, for each player in a game.

found a random bunch of packs on a bench when i was out hangin with my friends. bout 10 packs where bunched with a band. we waited bout 20 mins for the owner to come back. no one came, we wrote a note saying u did not pick these up o they were sent to a better place. honestly we did not know what to think bout it. anyway i opended the packs and straight up RR sable-tar. 4th pack gave me a FA naganedel GX. 6th pack gave me slow-duck. lst pack gave me a the rowlet-eggcutor. tell me if u guys think the pull ratioes are better with this series

Only GX attacks are GX attacks. They can come from anywhere, including non-GX Pokemon. Attacks which are not GX attacks are not ever GX attacks, under any current circumstances.
  17. 1 point
As noted before, the ability only stops GX attacks, in other words, the attacks that you can only use once per game which can be identified by the attack's name ending with "GX". This does not prevent regular attacks from Pokémon GX. If it were to stop attacks from Pokemon GX, it would say something along the lines of "As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to your Pokémon by your opponent's Pokémon-GX"

PTCGO had no immersion experience at all, limited emoji and pre-set sentences (less than 10),. Suggestion: Put the server chat. trade chat etc to the top menu button to be accessible while in game. Sometime player take too long, we still can chat with other for trade etc. But hide the chat to current two playing battle, to prevent them shout each other in server chat while in game? Problem solve.

blocking ( make invisible) offer from a user got asked a lot of time.. i think , ptcgo if they were honest would answer this.. We find trade system already fine and we don't want to take a chance to add more bug because we add this feature.. So we prefer to don't change anything in the trade system.. But my personal opinion about this is.. PTCGO need to get more worker so they could do so much more than right now. If they have more worker , they could add more thing without being scare.

As far as I'm concerned, after relentless flame, I would recommend buying theme decks from the standard expansions (NO expanded expansion !), for each type of energy (except metal and fairy ) So that , you would have a lot of trainer cards, you would have a lot of good rare cards and you would be able to make your daily challenges for each type of energy. (relentless flame is for fire and psy) If you win ten times with a new theme deck in the trainer challenge, you get another booster, making theme decks the best deal
  23. 1 point
That how new players start out to, except they get mental might. You at least have an advantage because you have cards from before. New players dont even get freebies like what you have prior. Losing 30 times is nothing, people lost that daily. Keep in mind, every 30 games there is 30 losers. Grind those coins and stick to theme and get events tickets and wins some packs. also, they revamped the game rewards big time, getting coins is so much easier then before. 500 coins use to be a struggle, now you can easily get that.
  24. 1 point
Buy a worthwhile Theme Deck so you can work on rebuilding your collection via the Theme Format. Relentless Flame is your best bet, but if you don't like it, Blazing Volcano, Laser Focus, or Soaring Storm as also solid picks. If you already have one of these decks, getting another can add some variety (and thus enjoyment) to the grind. If you have all those Theme Decks, then I recommend saving until you hit 1000 Tokens before using them to buy five Booster Packs from the in-game shop. Happy Gaming!

Buy the relentless flames theme deck. You can't be wrong with it.
  26. 1 point
Daily challenges will help you buying a new theme deck. It's really too bad for legacy. It's a much more fun than standard and expanded.

When you open a new pack, right click on the card. Then you can set it for trade right there on the pack opening screen. But I agree this filter in the Collection tab would be nice regardless. You can kinda get the same effect by using the filters when setting a new trade and going to your side of the trade. Obviously, cards you only have tradelocked copies of won't show up.

Jynx from Unified Minds is a great replacement for Damage Mover because of it's ability to move 1 damage counter to another Pokemon once per turn.
  29. 1 point
On August 2nd, with the release of Unified Minds, 458 new cards were added to the game, which brings the new total to 11,630. This latest set, Unified Minds, is huge. It's hard to believe that sets are getting this big. It brought 458 new cards, including the regular release, reverse foils, end-of-set (SR/RR), and theme deck exclusive. Of these, 387 are Pokémon, 65 are Trainers, and 6 Special Energy. Of the 458 cards in Unified Minds, four are exclusive versions (foil/non-foil) to either Theme Decks or Prerelease Boxes (Build & Battle Boxes). Dragonite, UNM 15 (Foil, theme deck exclusive) Froslass, UNM 38 (Non-Foil, prerelease box) Necrozma, UNM 101 (Foil, theme deck exclusive) Silvally, UNM 184 (Non-Foil, prerelease box) Post #1 is updated, and current. 11,630 Different Cards to Own (the top possible).

Soon or later you will have all when level 3 and there is no more levels. try to enjoy not only get rewards. will arrive the same. Elite decks and sleeves are not very expensive 1 or 2 packs each part the coin and 1 or 2 the sleeves. You can trade for them in Trade section of the game. check gameplay tab I think RobRatt said good tip. is better 4 regular of a card you need than 1 fullart only so you can complete decks and play better wha tmakes you win more rewards of the game.

I agree, I think the coin flip makes it more balanced. Unless that was in there before and I just missed it, in that case my bad. Also, does it have the usual "Special Condition" clause? It doesn't say. I think allowing you to take a prize for K-Oing a benched pokemon makes it a more attractive GX attack. As it is now, I think it's too expensive for too little gain. It could be used as a setup for some kind of mass bench attack. 50 damage spread won't do much, and even concentrated it only has 1-prize potential. I keep getting distracted by IRL things, so clearly this is not a good night to be trying to be on a forum, Imma sign off for now..

Im trying to complete my deck, and I still need 1x Cherish Ball, 2x Custom Catchers, and 1x Thunder Mountain According to the price guide, Cherish Ball is .5, Custom Catcher is .25 and I couldn't find Thunder Mountain, but on Ou7c4st's guide it was a .66 So, realistically, the trade should be 1 UNM pack and 1 UNB pack, but according to the scammers on this game, it would be 4 UNM packs. completely ridiculous.

As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon. There seems to be a misunderstanding of what the ability does. It DOES prevent damage/effects from GX Pokémon, it also stops GX attacks. If your opponent's Active pokemon is a GX pokemon. For Example 'Magikarp and Wailord Gx' The Super Splash of Magikarp & Wailord-GX dealing 180 damage, would BE Definitely blocked because it obviously a GX pokemon is doing damage to Celesteela so it's blocked 100% (if there are people trying to convince that Celesteela only block GX attacks, and not their other attacks. You are definitely wrong because the ability states clearly "Prevent ALL effect of you opponent's GX attacks, INCLUDING DAMAGE done to your Pokemon) The abilty is not working! Please fix this thank you as you can see I'm ThePokemonKing, as The King of Pokemons Celesteela's Abilty (FORCE CANCELLER) should be a great use against GX pokemon as this Pokemon is immune to effect and damage from an opponent GX pokemon. Thank you, If any of you tries to make me wrong.. A GX POKEMON WHATEVER ATTACK IT DO, IT WILL ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE A GX ATTACK THAT CELESTEELA BLOCKS, IT MAY BE THE GX ATTACK THAT IT COULE BE USED ONCE PER GAME OR AN ATTACK THAT IT CAN DO EVERY TURN, IT WOULD ALWAYS BE COUNT AS A GX ATTACK AS LONG A GX POKEMON IS DOING THAT ATTACK. THE KING OF POKEMON HAS SPOKEN! UNLEASH THE POWER OF CELESTEELA GX PLEASE! THANK YOU
