Are there any good anti meta decks out there that do not need super rare cards? I have been struggling ever since since the rotation and I do not have many good cards. A couple of the main decks I am having trouble with are the Malamar and The Magnezone ones as well as just some of the other prevalent decks in standard. Of course there is always the garchomp deck but I have gotten around it by forfeiting whenever I go up against anyone using it.

I don't even know what that is. I am a casual player so I do not know what these deck names really mean, I just try to put together decent decks with what I have and call it a day.

I don't want to be mean, but if you just want to build decks with what you have... Why ask for anti-meta decks you are not gonna build?

Actually, I remember you now... I commented on one of your posts and you said you don't want to trade for cards, so... Nothing people say here are gonna help you much, I think.

I am saying I have zero idea what is in the deck you said. Also I have no idea how to trade and all the packs I get say trade locked so I couldn't do much trading if I knew how.

On the other thread you have a list for Baby Buzz/Garb (I know because I gave it to you) and Weavile Spread is a deck based on, well, spreading damage with Weavile, there are a variety of lists you can look for online.

As for the trade, I think we also mentioned to you that playing theme tournaments is a great way to get tradable packs, then comes the stage of getting familiar with prices, there are one or two guides online that could help you.

Google.

No, seriously. No one requires you to know everything and if you consider yourself a “casual” player that's fine by all means. However, it literally takes 5 seconds to google “Pokemon Tcg Baby Buzz/Garb” or “Pokemon Tcg Weavile spread “ and you'll immediately find videos, forum posts and everything else you need.
Learn how to help yourself.

Also, your decks look like utter ****, especially when it comes down to trainer cards. In fact most new Theme decks that you can buy in the shop would arguably give you a better starting point that what you've come up on your own.

The shadows of the abyss are like the petals of a monstrous flower that shall blossom within the skull and expand the mind beyond what any man can bear, but whether it decays under the earth or above on green fields, or out to sea or in the very air, all shall come to revelation, and to revel, in the knowledge of the strangling fruit - and the hand of the sinner shall rejoice, for there is no sin in shadow or in light that the seeds of the dead cannot forgive...

I have just been working with what I got so far, so that is why my decks suck. Like 70% of my cards are now illegal in standard so I dont have much to work with. I dont have that tapu lele card, guzma, or any of those super good cards that everyone else has. I have just been grinding coins to buy packs with and trying to get a decent number of cards so I can make decent decks.

Also I have seen some of these post that talk about laddering and I do not believe this game has a ladder. I have been losing 7 out of 10 games at least and I have seen no change in the people I face.

The thing I hate the most is how every person I face can use their deck perfectly like how they all have the cards they need or they get heads 80% of the time while I always get all pokemon and no energy or all energy and no pokemon.

When "laddering" is mentioned here, it isn't in reference to improving your skill rating. It's about getting points to claim the prizes on the versus ladder. The one that resets in just under 24 hours from now.

"Swishonk!" That's what's happening!

You shouldn't forfeit. That is not very smart. Just keep trying and grinding til you finally get that win and that confidence. Look up some anti meta decks, and watch videos.

There aren't that many good anti meta decks that don't use some pretty rare cards. I found that out the hard way. You are gonna have to just play. Everything good won't just be handed to you.
Try try again. Never ever quit.

Yeah I have been grinding for packs and once my prize thing resets I will be getting a lot more cards. As for the garchomp decks, I really do not have a way of beating it unless I get super lucky, which I dont, so I just have to wait until I get some really good cards.

Why not try Buzzgarb? It's THE anti meta deck!

Does it still count?  I'd argue it's meta itself.

Not that I have a very good picture of the meta right now.  I don't have any concept of where my ELO is since the rotation, or of how representative of the whole the decks I'm seeing are.  But I've ran into astonishing number of buzgarb, so I'm inclined to say it's above tier 2.

The rest of the world must act as they see fit.  If TPCi insists on keeping the Chat canned, that is their decision.

But that does not stop me from opposing it.

And I will oppose it forever.
