Change Log

Oct. 12, 2018

  • Added: Alolan Muk (SUM #58): Power of Alchemy prevents the effects of Abilities on some evolved Pokémon from moving Energy to or from a Basic Pokémon.
  • Added: Porygon-Z (BUS #105): Initialize does not consistently devolve each of the opponent's evolved Pokémon.
  • Added: The development team is currently investigating reports of frequent client crashes on some iPad models after being updated to iOS 12.
  • Added: The development team is currently investigating reports of the client becoming non-responsive after importing a decklist that includes specific cards, such as Lillie.

Sept. 18, 2018

  • Removed (FIXED): Resolved an error with Uncommon Chest and Rare Holo Chest collation that occasionally caused them to deliver no items when opened. We are still in the process of reviewing the server logs to identify all players previously affected by this issue and will grant replacement items once the review is completed.
  • Added: Celesteela (CES #100, PR #SM131): Attacks that copy Moon Raker may fail if the total of both players' remaining Prize cards was reduced from exactly 6 as a result of the opponent's Celesteela using Moon Raker on the last turn.
  • Added: Decks are not consistently ordered alphabetically by name in the deck selection window when joining a tournament.
  • Added: Dragon Majesty booster packs are not ordered properly when Sort By is set to Alphabetical (A-Z) or Alphabetical (Z-A). This issue also occurs in the Trade area of the game.

Sept. 12, 2018

  • Added: When the Settings menu is opened in the Windows or OSX client the Windowed setting does not consistently default to a selection that matches the client's current full screen or windowed mode setting.

Sept. 7, 2018

  • Updated: Uncommon Chests and Rare Holo Chests occasionally display an error message when opened and disappear from the collection without granting any items. A fix for this issue will be included in the next available server update, after which replacement items will be granted to all affected players.
  • Added: Trainer Kits are not properly excluded from the Set Nearest to Completion and Complete Sets portions of the Collection Stats.

Cards

  • Alolan Muk (SUM #58): Power of Alchemy prevents the effects of Abilities on some evolved Pokémon from moving Energy to or from a Basic Pokémon.
  • Bastiodon (STS #70): Damage counters from Counter Head's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.
  • Celesteela (CES #100, PR #SM131): Attacks that copy Moon Raker may fail if the total of both players' remaining Prize cards was reduced from exactly 6 as a result of the opponent's Celesteela using Moon Raker on the last turn.
  • Darkrai-EX (DEX #63, 107, LTR #88, PR #BW46): Dark Cloak does not consistently recognize Dangerous Energy (AOR #82) and Double Dragon Energy (ROS #97) as providing {D} Energy.
  • Electrode (EVO #40): The development team is currently investigating sporadic reports that using the Buzzap Thunder Ability can prevent the match from progressing. Players who experience this issue should submit a support ticket with a copy of the full gamelog for further investigation by the team.
  • Exp. Share (SUM #118): This card's effect does not consistently activate when an effect that increases the amount of damage received from an attack is present on the Pokémon that was Knocked Out.
  • Greninja (PR #XY24): The effect of Mist Concealment is removed if Greninja is moved to the Bench.
  • Lucario (BUS #71, PR #SM54): The effect of Stance is removed if Lucario is moved to the Bench.
  • Manaphy-EX (BKP #32, 116): Aqua Tube does not consistently recognize Splash Energy (BKP #113), Double Aqua Energy (DCR #33), and Double Dragon Energy (ROS #97) as providing {W} Energy.
  • Metagross-GX (GRI #85, 139, 157): Energy cards attached to a Pokémon by Geotech System are not affected by Abilities that change the type of Energy those cards provide.
  • Porygon-Z (BUS #105): Initialize does not consistently devolve each of the opponent's evolved Pokémon.
  • Smeargle (UD #8, CL #21): Using Portrait prevents any other Supporter cards from being played from the hand for the rest of the turn.
  • Snorlax (FLF #80, GEN #58): Effects that suppress Abilities do not prevent the effect of Stir and Snooze.
  • Splash Energy (BKP #113): When a Pokémon with a retaliation effect and Splash Energy attached is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, the retaliation effect will prevent Splash Energy from returning the Pokémon to its owner's hand.
  • Thundurus-EX (PLF #38, 110, PR BW81): The prompt text for Raiden Knuckle incorrectly states that the Energy card will be returned to the hand, rather than attached to a Benched Pokémon.
  • Turtonator (BUS #26): Damage from the Flame Cloak attack is not listed in the game log.
  • Turtonator-GX (BUS #18, 131, 148): Damage counters from Shell Trap's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.
  • Wobbuffet (PR #XY155): Damage counters from Right Back at You's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.

General

  • An error may occur when attempting to uninstall the game via the Control Panel when installed in any language other than English. Running the Installer and selecting "Uninstall" will resolve the issue.
  • Cards may appear blurry for a small number of specific MacBook configurations.
  • The development team is currently investigating reports of frequent client crashes on some iPad models after being updated to iOS 12.
  • The Mac client may fail to install or update over a wireless connection for systems running OSX 10.12 or higher.

Gameplay: General

  • A player's time clock is incorrectly reduced by 2-3 seconds each time their turn ends.
  • Attack effects that remove the attacking Pokémon from play are processed after the game resolves any Knock Outs that occur due to the attack's damage, rather than before.
  • Cards removed from the attacking Pokémon to meet the requirement of an optional "if you do" attack effect are removed before damage is calculated and applied to the Defending Pokémon, rather than after.
  • The Delta Plus Ancient Trait will not trigger if the attacking Pokémon is Knocked Out by a retaliation effect on the Defending Pokémon.

Gameplay: Versus

  • Some players may not appear in the Versus Leaderboards Pokemon.com, despite having earned Versus points during the time frame selected.

Gameplay: Events

  • Decks are not consistently ordered alphabetically by name in the deck selection window when joining a tournament.

Cards: Collection

  • Booster packs that include both a Prism Star card and a Pokémon-GX card will display them in the wrong order. This is a visual issue only and does not affect regular booster collation.
  • Dragon Majesty booster packs are not ordered properly when Sort By is set to Alphabetical (A-Z) or Alphabetical (Z-A). This issue also occurs in the Trade area of the game.
  • In the Spanish game client, Ultra Ball cards from Black & White series sets are not grouped together with Ultra Ball cards from XY and Sun & Moon series sets in the Card Info window's Additional Versions panel. This is a display issue only and does not affect playability of the cards.

Cards: Deck Manager

  • The development team is currently investigating reports of the client becoming non-responsive after importing a decklist that includes specific cards, such as Lillie.

Cards: Trading

  • Evolution Pack bundles cannot be traded.
  • While an avatar item is equipped any additional, tradable copies of that item in the Collection cannot be included in a trade offer.

Profile: Statistics

  • Trainer Kits are not properly excluded from the Set Nearest to Completion and Complete Sets portions of the Collection Stats.

Options

  • When the Settings menu is opened in the Windows or OSX client the Windowed setting does not consistently default to a selection that matches the client's current full screen or windowed mode setting.
