You are running to many different Pokémon.
You are running to many Energies.
You are running to few Trainers.
You are running to few Draw Supporters.
Your deck strategy is non-existent.

These are the reasons your deck is doing very bad.
However, it can all be fixed!

The easiest way to fix all these problems is to pick 1 Pokémon.
What Pokémon is your favorite Pokémon?
or
What Pokémon do you like the most in your deck?

The idea is to ********** build the deck around it.
I will give you an Example:

Let’s say I like Blaziken
I want to make a Blaziken deck.

What we would than do is remove all other Pokémon.
We are going to focus only on Blaziken.
We are going to run Max copies because it is the star of the deck.

4x Blaziken

We can’t make Blaziken with out Combusken or Torchic!

4x Combusken
4x Torchic

We have total of 12 Pokémon in this fictional example deck.
We only need like 3 Pokémon to finish our line up.
Most decks run around 15 Pokémon.

———————————————————

Every deck has a structure:
15 - Pokémon
30 - Trainers
15 - Energy

60 cards in all!
The above is the structure I tell beginners because it easy to remember!

———————————————————

People fill those last 3 slots with helpful Pokémon
-Shaymin EX-let’s you draw 5 cards
-Oranguru- let’s you draw 3 cards
-Tapu Lele- let’s you search a supporter

In this example, I will use 2x Oranguru + 1x Shaymin EX
The deck will than look like below:

4x Blaziken
4x Combusken
4x Torchic
2x Oranguru
1x Shaymin EX

15 Pokémon

————————————————-

Let’s do energy next because it easy.
I will keep the same structure of 15 energy.

4x Burning Energy
11x Fire Energy

15 Energy

Boom!
Deck is coming together.

——————————————————

Most decks run around 9-10 Draw supporters.
-Cynthia
-Scyamore
-Junpiter
-Colress
-Tata&Liza
-N

The cards job is to make sure your hand is never empty.
You can’t do anything with no cards in your hand.
Thus, You want to have several draw supporters.

The only time you don’t run so many supporters is if your using other draw cards.
Your deck is running a few:
-Scortch Earth
-Fiery Torch

However, you still need draw supporters.
I tell people to do a stairs step supporter line
When you think of a stairs, they go 1 above other.

1-2-3-4
1 = VS Seeker
2 = Colress or Scyamore
3 = N
4 = Cynthia

And sometimes they change spots.
However, it is easy to remember.

A few things which are seen in all decks include:
4x Ultra Ball
2-4x Guzma or Lysandre [Note] your playing in Expanded so you can get away with 2.
2-3x Stadium or Field Blowers to remove Stadium’s
1-2x Recover options [Examples] Super Rod, Rescue Stretcher, Brock’s Grit, Karen
2-3x Retreating options [Examples] Float Stone, Skate Board, Escape Rope

Once, you factor all this stuff in
Your deck begins to develop itself.

In addition, the cards generally transfer to other decks as basic templates.
Going back to the example deck I made.
I will add the following cards:

4x Cynthia
3x N
2x Colress [My Expanded Preference]
1x VS Seeker

4x Ultra Ball
2x Lysandre [My Fire Deck Preference]
2x Scortch Earth [You only showed 2 so I figure you don’t have 3rd]
1x Field Blower [Making Up for 3rd stadium]
1x Karen [My Expanded Preference to deal with Night March decks]

Last 10 slots are player choice/strategy choice options

The Pokémon I am using is Blaziken.
My Blaziken does 130 Damage.
However, it discards energy after it attacks.

I need a strategy to help fit this problem.
Or at the very least help me get back my energy.

A card I can use to help is Blacksmith!

2x Blacksmith

Another thing which I don’t like is my Blaziken Attack.
130 Damage is a lot but I want more
Maybe, I can add a card to boost it Damage out put.

3x Muscle Band or Choice Band to give my Blaziken some extra power!

Next, I hate Blaziken retreat cost.
It cost 2 energy to retreat with my Blaziken.
What if I’m in trouble and I have to dodge out with my Blaziken?
I need something to retreat or my opponent will kill it and get prize or win game!

3x Float Stone can give my Blaziken free retreat.

Do you see how I’m adding cards to help better my single Pokémon?

Next, I can consider speeding up my Blaziken with some Rare Candy’s!
My Blaziken is Stage 2 if I evolve manually it can take longer.
I want to speed up my Blaziken because he is my beloved Pokémon.
The sooner he is evolved the sooner he is in my arms!
My precious!

2x Rare Candies

No other Pokémon exists only my Blaziken!
Obsession is your best friend in deck building.

And there you go the example deck is built.
It is said that if Gengar is hiding, it cools the area by nearly 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

Good job!
Your deck looks 100% better!
We are making progress!

Your new deck list puts your previous deck list to shame!
Good job!

People can see a huge difference.
-Your new deck is focused!
Your laser locked in making Ninetails BREAK!
We can clearly see it.

-Your new deck has caused you to think of helpful strategies!
Dodrio!
Your Float Stone replacement!

This is excellent work!
You should be proud.

Let’s continue on this awesome path!
Let’s make Ninetails even better!
Let’s make the Pokémon World want to play Ninetails!

I copied your deck list so that I could visualize the deck.
I than made changes to your deck list.
I am going to post you the deck list.
I came up with after several changes.

———————————————————

I am now going to talk about the changes.

I decided to leave the Pokémon line up the same.
The reason why is because I know you said you don’t have many cards.
It is very understandable.
I been there as well

In addition, I think your Pokémon line up is very straight forward.
Oranguru- Let’s you draw
Dodrio - Let’s you free retreat
Ninetails - Let’s you win the game by attacking.

It is very simple & easy.
Your deck is straight to the point.
I love decks like that because they don’t mess around.
They are on a mission!

—————————————————

-Energy Retrieval
-Cilan
-Cheren
-EXP Share

I took all the above cards out.
I am going to talk about them all at the same time because they are “connected”.

A card like Cilan is usually seen in decks with different Basic Energy.
Let’s say your deck was a Fire/Water Deck with 2 different Basic Energies.
A card like Cilan could be used to help you draw a specific Energy for a certain Pokémon.
A Water Pokémon maybe not be able to attack with Fire Energy attached to it.

Thus, they add in a card [Cilan, Professor Letter, Energy Retrieval] to help get the right energy.

Your deck is only using 1 Basic type of energy [Fire].
Players are generally not going to get a card to extract a single energy deck.
Instead, They are going to draw through there Deck to get that energy.
They plan to use good old fashion Draw Power Muscle!
They going to Muscle through the deck to reach energies.

You can almost see how they are “connected”
Your using Cheren which is only letting you draw 3 cards.
The result is your having to use cards like Chilan & Energy R. because the 3 cards are not always getting you to an energy.
If you was using card that draws you 6/7 cards, you would reach energy more regularly.

This is why a card like Cynthia is very important.
I know you don’t have it.
However, I want to give you some tips so that you can get it!

TIP #1 - SAVE 500 POKE COINS
You can buy 2 copies of Cynthia in a Theme Deck in the Shop.
The Theme Deck Cost 500 Poke Coins.
The Theme Deck Name - Sun & Moon Series Mech Strike
If you save, you can get the Cynthia’s!

TIP #2 - CHECK IN-GAME ITEM EXCHANGE FORUM
A very generous & brilliant person named Princess Aurora is donating cards to help beginners.
It is a true Pokémon Spirit Success Story!

Princess Aurora did something I never seen anyone do!
Princess Aurora made a thread called Watto’s Junk Yard.
Players from all over have donated spare cards they don’t need to the Junk Yard.
Some people have 20 copies of a single cards that they never will use.
You can only use 4 copies in a deck max.

Thus, They donate those extra spare copies to the Junk Yard.
The Junk Yard in turn gives to the people who can use some of the cards.
It is a wonderful way to help players such as yourself get a nice start!
It spreads the joy of Pokémon!

——————————————————

-Escape Rope

I took this card out because we have Dodrio!
We have free retreat forever!
We don’t really need Escape Rope to help us retreat any more.

The only “catch” we have is that we need Dodrio in play!
Dodrio is Stage 1.
It can’t help us unless we evolve it ASAP
It can’t help us unless we have Doduo in play ****

*** these Reasons, I added in both Evosoda & Nest Balls
Evosoda let’s you evolve any of your Evolution Pokémon!
Nest Ball let’s you bring out any of your Basic Pokémon!
The Double Whammy!

Our opponent is going to be shocked!
We have the Evolution Pokémon & Basic Pokémon!
It’s like we have the Cake & Ice Cream!
Jealous! They going to be so jealous!

-Muscle Band
-2 Fire Energy

I decided to replace the above with 1 more Super Rod & 2 more Teammates.
Most of The Pokémon we have in this deck have low HP.
Vulpix has 60 HP
Ninetails has 90 HP
Ninetails BREAK has 140 HP

We are in a 60-140 HP Pokémon range!
It is actually very low.
The reason it is low is because most of The Pokémon we are using are old school Pokémon.

Most of the generation Pokémon in the deck are reprints of the original Pokémon from 20 years ago.
20 years ago, The Standard HP amounts were a lot different!
150 HP was considered the Max HP.

Today, 250 HP is considered the Max HP.
For these reasons, The Pokémon in this deck don’t have high survive ability.
They have a higher chance of dying.

However, we can accept & counter this fact!

WE ACCEPT THEY HAVE HIGH CHANCE OF GETTING KNOCKED OUT!
I put a 2nd Super Rod in the Deck because you will need extra Pokémon recovery.
If you don’t have 2nd Super Rod, you can try a Rescue Stretcher.
Rescue Stretcher can help bring our Pokémon back from discard pile.

WE ARE GOING TO COUNTER OUR POKÉMON GETTING KNOCK OUT!
I put 2 extra Teammates in the deck.
You killed my low HP Pokémon?
How dare you!

Oh, your going to pay!
TEAMMATES!
I’m getting any 2 cards I want!
I will get my revenge!

—————————————————————————

In closing, I want to say if you really want a newer more modern day Ninetails Deck.
You could try the Alolah Ninetails GX Deck!
I made a very Budget Friendly Alolah Ninetails GX Deck version!

In addition, The game put Alolah Ninetails GX on the versus ladder.
I can post you that deck list if your interested!
It is said that if Gengar is hiding, it cools the area by nearly 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

I for some reason have only 3 combuskens which is odd

but no matter because rare candy is a thing for a reason

i threw in lugia because i have been meeting a LOT of zygarde GX and i needed something to counter it

volcarona is there just in case i run out of nest balls

my main point here is that just in case blaziken GX dies i can always retrieve him

i put buddy buddy rescuer and super rod just in case such thing happens

also a main "strategy" in the deck is to keep drawing cards, torchic has a move thats exactly the same as fiery torch, and he can use it twice a turn, count that with scorched earth and thats 6 free cards in a turn with the cost of 3 energies

to make sure i dont run out of energies i threw in 3 blacksmiths which actually benefit from the discarding of energies

also yes,I would LOVE an alolan ninetais deck

and again

thank you so much

The above list is what my Alolah Ninetails Deck looks like.
It is for Standard Format.
It can be a lot of fun to play.

Most of the cards come from the Ninetails Theme Deck.
The few other cards come from Versus Ladder.

The hardest cards to get from my deck list are:
-2x Remoraid & 2x Octillery
-1x Manaphy EX

If you have extreme trouble, you can try Alternative cards that are easier to get.

You can replace 2x Rem. & 2x Oct. for 2x Nest Ball & 2x Oranguru.
You can replace 1x Manaphy EX & 1x Gladion for 2x Float Stone.
