Change Log

August 17, 2018

  • Added: Beast Ball (CES #125): The Prize swap effect of Beast Ball allows you to immediately win the match if your last remaining Prize is an Ultra Beast. Due to the high potential for exploitation, this card has been temporarily banned from play until a fix can be deployed.
  • Updated: Beast Ball (CES #125): The Prize swap effect of Beast Ball incorrectly counts toward attacks and effects that calculate the number of Prizes taken during the match, such as Salazzle-GX's (BUS #25) Diabolical Claws attack and Iris (PLB #81). Due to the high potential for exploitation, this card has been temporarily banned from play until a fix can be deployed.

August 3, 2018

  • Added: Rayquaza-GX (CES #109, 160, 177): Basic (G) Energy and basic (L) Energy cards that provide more than 1 Energy due to another effect are not properly calculated for Dragon Break's damage.

August 2, 2018

  • Added: Counter Energy (CIN #100, 122): This card always counts as only 1 Energy for the Hydro Pump, Rock Bullet, and Metal Blast attacks.
  • Added: Super Boost Energy Prism Star (UPR #136): This card always counts as only 1 Energy for the Hydro Pump, Rock Bullet, and Metal Blast attacks.
  • Added: Filtering the items you want to receive from the partner in a new private trade will apply the For Trade tag filter to both collections, rather than just the partner's collection. Players can reset to the default view of all items in the partner's collection with the For Trade tag by opening the filter, clicking the Reset button, then clicking the Apply button.
  • Added: Public Trade filters only show matching offers from trades that have already been loaded in the client, rather than automatically pulling more matching offers from the server. Players can work around this issue by applying the desired filter and then manually clicking the Refresh Trade List button to force the client to request more matching offers from the server.

Cards

  • Bastiodon (STS #70): Damage counters from Counter Head's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.
  • Beast Ball (CES #125): The Prize swap effect of Beast Ball incorrectly counts toward attacks and effects that calculate the number of Prizes taken during the match, such as Salazzle-GX's (BUS #25) Diabolical Claws attack and Iris (PLB #81). Due to the high potential for exploitation, this card has been temporarily banned from play until a fix can be deployed.
  • Beast Ball (CES #125): The Prize swap effect of Beast Ball allows you to immediately win the match if your last remaining Prize is an Ultra Beast. Due to the high potential for exploitation, this card has been temporarily banned from play until a fix can be deployed.
  • Counter Energy (CIN #100, 122): This card always counts as only 1 Energy for the Hydro Pump, Rock Bullet, and Metal Blast attacks.
  • Darkrai-EX (DEX #63, 107, LTR #88, PR #BW46): Dark Cloak does not consistently recognize Dangerous Energy (AOR #82) and Double Dragon Energy (ROS #97) as providing {D} Energy.
  • Electrode (EVO #40): The development team is currently investigating sporadic reports that using the Buzzap Thunder Ability can prevent the match from progressing. Players who experience this issue should submit a support ticket with a copy of the full gamelog for further investigation by the team.
  • Exp. Share (SUM #118): This card's effect does not consistently activate when an effect that increases the amount of damage received from an attack is present on the Pokémon that was Knocked Out.
  • Greninja (PR #XY24): The effect of Mist Concealment is removed if Greninja is moved to the Bench.
  • Lucario (BUS #71, PR #SM54): The effect of Stance is removed if Lucario is moved to the Bench.
  • Manaphy-EX (BKP #32, 116): Aqua Tube does not consistently recognize Splash Energy (BKP #113), Double Aqua Energy (DCR #33), and Double Dragon Energy (ROS #97) as providing {W} Energy.
  • Metagross-GX (GRI #85, 139, 157): Energy cards attached to a Pokémon by Geotech System are not affected by Abilities that change the type of Energy those cards provide.
  • Rayquaza-GX (CES #109, 160, 177): Basic (G) Energy and basic (L) Energy cards that provide more than 1 Energy due to another effect are not properly calculated for Dragon Break's damage.
  • Smeargle (UD #8, CL #21): Using Portrait prevents any other Supporter cards from being played from the hand for the rest of the turn.
  • Snorlax (FLF #80, GEN #58): Effects that suppress Abilities do not prevent the effect of Stir and Snooze.
  • Super Boost Energy Prism Star (UPR #136): This card always counts as only 1 Energy for the Hydro Pump, Rock Bullet, and Metal Blast attacks.
  • Thundurus-EX (PLF #38, 110, PR BW81): The prompt text for Raiden Knuckle incorrectly states that the Energy card will be returned to the hand, rather than attached to a Benched Pokémon.
  • Turtonator (BUS #26): Damage from the Flame Cloak attack is not listed in the game log.
  • Turtonator-GX (BUS #18, 131, 148): Damage counters from Shell Trap's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.
  • Wobbuffet (PR #XY155): Damage counters from Right Back at You's retaliation effect are placed before all effects of the triggering attack are resolved.

General

  • An error may occur when attempting to uninstall the game via the Control Panel when installed in any language other than English. Running the Installer and selecting "Uninstall" will resolve the issue.
  • Cards may appear blurry for a small number of specific MacBook configurations.
  • The Mac client may fail to install or update over a wireless connection for systems running OSX 10.12 or higher.

Gameplay: General

  • A player's time clock is incorrectly reduced by 2-3 seconds each time their turn ends.
  • Cards removed from the attacking Pokémon to meet the requirement of an optional "if you do" attack effect are removed before damage is calculated and applied to the Defending Pokémon, rather than after.
  • Retaliation effects do not consistently trigger if a Special Energy card was discarded from the attacking Pokémon as an effect of the attack.

Gameplay: Versus

  • Some players may not appear in the Versus Leaderboards Pokemon.com, despite having earned Versus points during the time frame selected.

Cards: Collection

  • A small number of accounts receive an error message when attempting to open an XY—Roaring Skies booster.
  • In the Spanish game client, Ultra Ball cards from Black & White series sets are not grouped together with Ultra Ball cards from XY and Sun & Moon series sets in the Card Info window's Additional Versions panel. This is a display issue only and does not affect playability of the cards.

Cards: Trading

  • Filtering the items you want to receive from the partner in a new private trade will apply the For Trade tag filter to both collections, rather than just the partner's collection. Players can reset to the default view of all items in the partner's collection with the For Trade tag by opening the filter, clicking the Reset button, then clicking the Apply button.
  • Public Trade filters only show matching offers from trades that have already been loaded in the client, rather than automatically pulling more matching offers from the server. Players can work around this issue by applying the desired filter and then manually clicking the Refresh Trade List button to force the client to request more matching offers from the server.
  • While an avatar item is equipped any additional, tradable copies of that item in the Collection cannot be included in a trade offer.
