I would like to share with you a Standard Deck I made for Beginners.
The deck is a low budget deck which should be easy to build.

In order to keep the deck beginner friendly, I have selected cards which are affordable.
The majority of the cards can be acquired with Poke Coins.
The majority of the cards come from different Theme Decks.
The few cards which don’t come from Theme Decks are low budget cards costing in the range of 1-2 pack.

The restrictions of keeping the deck as low budget as possible does rule out certain cards:
-Tapu Lele
-Float Stone

A lot of the above cards are great cards, but they carry a price pack value which can exceed a beginnners starting resources.
The beauty of the deck is with the decks flexibility/room for improvement.
Intermediate & Advanced players can modify the deck with the above cards to make it even stronger!
This is why I considered the deck a great Beginner & Beyond Deck.
It can be used at all levels!
Without further delay, I would like to post the following deck list:

Let’s talk about the deck strategy:
Every deck needs an opener Pokémon.
A Pokémon that you want to start the battle with!
The Imperial Command Theme Deck has 2 openers:

I decided to change up the openers:
-Alolah Vulpix

Corsola & Vulpix are both great Pokémon openers!
I will explain why:
The reason why is because they can help you set up!
In the beginning of a battle, you have no/very few Pokémon.
You want to be able to bring them out more Pokémon! I.E you want to set up.
Corsola & Vulpix help you do this!
The attack’s they do help you search for more Pokémon.
This allows you to set up quicker!

The problem is Corsola is a little bit more costly than Vulpix!
You need 1 energy to use Corsola Attack.
You can do Vulpix Attack for Free. No Energy at all!

The next issue is Corsola only brings out Basic Pokémon to your bench.
Your bench only has 5 spots.
Once, it is full Corsola isn’t useful any more.

Vulpix can bring out any Pokémon to your hand!
Once, your bench is full.
You can start searching for the Evolve Pokémon!
Vulpix remains more useful!
This is why I made the change!

Vulpix is defensive!
We unite our units in a defensive front preparing them for battle!

The next opener we have is Buizel/Floatzel.
Vulpix is defensive which leaves Buizel/Floatzel as the opposite!
Buizel/Floatzel are offensive!

What happens if we don’t draw Vulpix?
What do we do?
We try to prevent our opponent from setting up!
We take offensive measures!
Buizel/Floatzel help accomplish this goal.

Most basic non-EX/GX Pokémon have around 60-70 HP.
Floatzel can deal 80 HP.
It can go on a killing spree taking down the opponents basics which they are trying to set up!
Do you see how this is done?

Turn 1 - You put Buizel in start postion.
You attach energy.
Turn 2 - Your opponent plays Basic Pokémon.
They attach energy do 10-20 damage.
Turn 3 - You evolve to Floatzel
You attach second energy.
1 shot kill!

You can steal games like this!
Sometimes the opponents have no other bench Pokémon!
Your 1 burst hit wins the battle!

These are the decks openers!

The Pokémon draw supporters:

2- Sandslash
2- Sandshrew

These Pokémon draw help you draw extra cards.
You can use the ability to draw extra cards!
The more cards the better!

I decided to stick with these Pokémon because they come in the Imperial Command Theme Deck.
They are great budget cards!
The great thing about these 2 Pokémon is that has you grow stronger as a player.
You can evolve the deck to make it stronger.
1 way will be to replace the above 2-2 Pokémon with:
2- Remoraid
2- Octillery

You can’t out grow the deck because the deck has growth potential built in it!

Pokémon Boss Empoleon!

Empoleon is 1 menacing Pokémon.
Empoleon attack Total Command is a low 2 energy hit!
Total Command does 20 Damage times all Pokémon in play!
A Full Bench on both sides can cause this attack to do 200 damage.
A choice band attached to Empoleon can do 230 damage.
We are talking about some nasty hits.

If 1 Attack wasn’t good enough, Empoleon has another fantastic Attack!
Empoleon second attack Whirlpool!
The Whirlpool Attack has single handily won me games!
It has won me games because it discards energy from the opponents active Pokémon!

I have used this deck to beat several Zoroark GX / Golisopod GX decks.
You hit them with a Whirlpool!
You discard the Double Colorless Energy.
What can they do?

Once the Whirlpool starts to drag you under.
There is nothing you can really do to stop it!
They would have to pray for another Double Colorless.
If they don’t have it, They are stuck!
I have seen them fall victim to the Whirlpool time and time again!
A very underestimated attack.

This is what the decks strategy is!

Lastly, I would like to leave you with list of cards which you will need to collect outside of Theme decks.

-Alolah Vulpix
-Choice Band
-Professor Sycamore
- Cyrus

You can see the list of outside cards is short.
Most of the cards can be acquired with 1-2 packs.
The rest come from different Theme Decks!
And that is all!

Thank you for stopping by to read my thread!
Good Luck in your Battles, Friends!

Hey, I'm really interested in this deck and I have the theme deck but I am so new at this that I don't know where to get the other cards you mention. Is there a list somewhere where I could pinpoint which other theme deck contains the other cards needed?
