Hi! I’ve cobbled up another deck with a bunch of weird combos, so I’ll need some advice to improve it. My overall goal for this deck is to enable it to stand it’s ground against anything. So far, the only things that shutted it down were Steel match-ups and dead hands. I also tried to make the deck as unusual as possible, because that playing absolutely the same thing as Championships is somewhat... Bland?

Please note that some cards won’t be moving: Tropical Beach (Snivy is in the artwork! XD), Ralts and it’s evolution line (Gardies and Gallys are the core of this deck) and Comfey (it’s an interesting defense against Hypnotoxic Lasers).

Thanks in advance!

As this is an Expanded deck, you need more Vs. Seekers so you can reuse more of your supporters.

What's the point of Emolga when Brigette already gets your bench set up without taking up your attack for the turn? It's better that you use at least 3 Gardevoir so you have a better chance of having it. The only draw supporters you have are N, and Colress which isn't enough. You need Sycamore and/or Cynthia as well. Tropical Beach ends your turn if you use its effect and it can be easily dealt with by Field Blower or a counter stadium.

These 2 decks are probably the most consistent as I have done a lot of play testing. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Have fun :) .

Well... the thing is... it's good to be unique but not good if you're purposely gimping yourself for the sake of being unique. Meta decks can be boring, but there is a reason why they are designed in such a way. It is just good deck design.

I would say including a Comfey and beaches are unique enough (though I will personally never use beaches in a garde deck even if I have them but if you really want to keep them....). Take out the Iris (too situational; no meta deck uses this), Emolga (waste of bench space and alolan vulpix is better), Fairy Drops (look up the brokenvoir strat if you want healing otherwise ignore) and Pokemon Ranger (only volcs play this and not all of them do) for sure. Max out ultra balls and vs seekers and don't leave home without your sycamores/junipers and cynthias. I would also recommend a Guzma (in expanded it is preferable for many decks to have both Lysandre and Guzma but that depends).

Thanks for these two lists! I’ll see what I can get into mine.

Hmm... I see what you mean, but what I’m trying to build is something that isn’t the best at something, but viable at everything else. I did add the Cynthias, and she’s doing great as a hand-refresher. Thanks for the advice! :)

Personally I'd swap out the Tropical Beaches and Ns for Cynthias and Lillies, that way you hold the advantage instead of giving any additional help or support for the opponent in regards to whats in your hands, also if you're already winning N becomes a disadvantage where as Cynthia does not but effectively does the same thing as N, so I'm glad you added her. I can see how the beaches have their benefit late game and being a stadium instead of a one shot deal (you do have the 4 VS Seekers), though a couple Lillies (or even Ace Trainer and trying to start with Vulpix, and let it get KO'd, if your plan is to ruin their plans, obviously a little more risky) would be more supporters if you end up stuck with Gallade for some reason. I definitely agree replacing Emolga with another Alolan Vulpix. Im not really seeing the point in the Diancie EX, the Diancie mentioned in the replies would seem the fit the direction this deck is after way better.

N is still good. You can punish a winning opponent late-game, which can buy you just enough time to win. With Oranguru/Octillery you can mitigate the effects of a late-game N. Finally, you can N yourself to 1 or 2 if you're about to deck out.

I won't take out the Ns but I will definitely remove the beaches and Diancie EX
