Is there any particular reason why Pokemon Crystal aint coming to the 3DS VC along with Pokemon Gold and Silver? Cause i would've loved to get that game as well.

It was not included on the vc because the 3ds does not have a port for the GB Mobile Adapter, a Japanese-only device that grants Crystal internet-based multiplayer using a phone line, a concept that some say was scrapped internationally due to differences in phone technology and demographics between Japan and the US at the time of Crystal's initial release, not to mention that back then, kids couldn't easily afford phones like they can now, not to mention royalties for the creators of said adapter should they release Crystal w/ the same functionalities, especially if it has minor differences from GS anyway...

Likewise, since Nintendo is said to desire that VC games are close to originals as possible, including international support for the online capabilities of Crystal by emulating the phone line support of Japanese version could be seen as detrimental to sales of Sun & Moon games, as they have online support already, so Crystal's exclusion could be seen as understandable, as that would free up the possible questions to Nintendo's email team that would otherwise be asked by fans.

Why do you want Crystal to be released on VC when it could cost Nintendo in royalties to companies that made now-defunct peripherals and/or offer fans virtually the same GS game anyway???

Well clearly Nintendo does not care all that much about keeping the VC Pokemon games as close to their original counterparts since they edited Jynx's sprite in Pokemon yellow and turned the flashing effects down a notch so. If they don't want to pay royalties and all that stuff then they could easily take that whole phone adapter service thing out of it. It aint a game changing thing anyway so.
