I am writing today to give you an update on development efforts by the Pokémon TCG Online team.
Version 2.45 scheduled for June 20, 2017
New version 2.45 is moving through final testing as we prepare to release it on Tuesday, June 20th. That date may slide if a major bug is uncovered, but so far, we are looking good for Tuesday.
Version 2.45 continues our aim to reduce our known issues and increase the robustness of the game. We’ll have all the details with updated patch notes when that version goes live.
Also included in version 2.45 are refinements to Versus points and Versus daily rewards that we previously announced here: http://forums.pokemo...ts-refinements/
Continued Focus on reducing Known Issues
Over the course of 2017 the Pokémon TCG Online Team has focused on better identifying bugs that affect our players, documenting them and into the queue to be addressed. We are making headway, but there is still more to do. In addition, we are also prioritizing behind the scenes work to improve our processes and automation which will position us to better support the game over the years to come.
This bug destruction focus is why our pace of feature development may not be as ambitious or touching more areas of the game as it otherwise could be. We know there is always more to do to keep improving the game. We hope that everyone will appreciate the robust and more bug free game that this focus will result in.
Special Challenges returning with version 2.45
In recent versions of the Pokémon TCG Online, some issues were preventing us from running Special Challenges. Special Challenges are like the normal Daily Challenges, but available for a limited time and usually have attractive rewards for completing them in the time allowed. As part of version 2.45 we have fixed these issues and you can expect to see Special Challenges after version 2.45 is live.
2.46 Already in Work
As 2.45 wraps up, part of the team has already transitioned to working on 2.46 and the next card set. There are a lot of exciting new cards to come in 2017! As always, we look forward to bringing them to you. For updates about what is happening with the Pokémon TCG, keep your eyes on the TCG section of Pokémon.com.
As always, thank you for being part of the Pokémon TCG Online community!
