On May 2, 2017 the Pokémon TCG Online was updated to version 2.44.0. Changes in this version include:

GENERAL

  • Additional foil effects implemented for cards from the Sun & Moon Series, rare Holo cards from XY—Evolutions, cards from the Generations expansion’s Radiant Collection, and Pokémon BREAK cards.

GAMEPLAY

  • Pokémon Tool card pips now display a visual indicator while the card’s effect is prevented by a global effect.
  • Pokémon Tool card pips now display a visual indicator while attached to a Pokémon that is not eligible for the card’s effect (for example, a Fighting Fury Belt that is attached to an Evolution Pokémon and thus has no effect).
  • Adjusted the length of various match action timers to improve overall game tempo.

COLLECTION

  • Basic Energy cards of the same type from a Trainer Kit deck are now displayed as a single stack, rather than separately by collector number.

  • Genesect-EX (FCO #64, 120): Declining to use the optional effect of the Rapid Blaster attack should no longer prevent effects from other sources from increasing the attack's damage.
  • Genesect-EX (FCO #64, 120): Declining to use the optional effect of the Rapid Blaster attack should no longer prevent retaliation effects on the Defending Pokémon from triggering.
  • Hex Maniac (AOR #73): The effect of this card is now consistently removed from a Pokémon that is shuffled into the deck.
  • Lucky Helmet (AOR #77): The effect of this card now triggers if the attacking Pokemon is returned to its owner's hand as an effect of the attack.
  • M Sceptile-EX (AOR #8): The prompt text for the Jagged Saber attack does now properly communicates that its Energy attachment effect is optional.

  • Palkia-EX (BKP #31): The Aqua Turbo attack no longer highlights all cards in the selection window when there are no Benched Pokémon.
  • Sigilyph (PLB #41): The selection interface does now functions properly when an effect disables the Toolbox Ability while multiple Pokémon Tool cards are attached to Sigilyph.
