Temporary Workaround for Game Crash During 2.42.3 Patching

We have identified an issue which causes a file in the Windows and Mac game clients to become corrupted when attempting to patch the game to today's version client update, resulting in a game crash. This issue only affects game clients that are patching up from in the version update released on January 20th, and not the version on January 21st.

If you are experiencing this issue, please:
  • Visit http://pokemon.com/playtcgo and download the latest game installer
  • Without uninstalling the game, run the new game installer that you just downloaded.
  • This will overwrite the corrupted file and allow you to launch the game normally.
If the above doesn't work for you, please consider following the steps at http://support.pokem...questionID=2241to do a "clean" uninstall and reinstall.

If either of the above do not work, please visit http://pokemon.com/support and enter a question with the details of what is happening and what you have tried so far and the Pokémon Support Team can follow up with you directly.
